Description: This is a romantic theme I wrote for a deleted scene of "Sense & Sensibility", an assignment of Berklee University - "Composing for Film & TV".

This is a piece I wrote for my Berklee Orchestration 2 studies.
My vision behind “Origins” was to compose a piece dealing with the Biblical story of creation, but than only the very beginning of it - Genesis 1:1-5
(Complete Jewish Bible):
“1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was unformed and void, darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Spirit
of God hovered over the surface of the water. 3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and God
divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. So there was evening, and there was morning, one day.”

Part 1 deals with the empty chaos that was on the earth, before God created light and time. Than God’s voice speaks - “Agnus Dei” which means
“Lamb of God” - which points to the Son of God being the source, salvation and fulfillment of humankind and creation itself.
The speaking of God creates time and light, a big climax of part 1.

Part 2 starts with a big bassdrum in a heartbeat-like pattern, like the heartbeat of creation starting up, which develops into a homophonic chord pro-
gression, depicting unity, oneness, and peace after the choas of part 1. A soaring melody and a middleground movement in contrast to the dark
character of the chord progression depict the separation of light form darkness.

Cue I wrote for the Christmas TV show "Kerst met de Zandtovenaar". This depicts the shepherds being overwhelmed by the angelic presence. :-)

Herders

I composed this music a short movie about alternative energy for an energy company. It's a more traditional score with orchestra: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, 4 Horns, 2 Trumpets, 3 Trombones, Tuba, Harp, Percussion (Timpani, Cymbals & Gongs, Marimba, Glockenspiel, Toms), piano, full string section and added Synth pads & sounds.

This is a little Christmas gift for everyone who has contributed to my Indiegogo campaign or has shown an interest in my music. Lovely track written by Marlou based on a poem by the early 20th century Irish poet Joseph Mary Plunkett. The intro may sound familiar to some of you, it is my rendering of the intro of "Reel Around the Sun", from the great Riverdance show.
