Thrash Flow and F5 Records are happy to announce the release of DJ Crucial’s "Retro Active" on double cassette.

With new and unreleased material from 1997-2014, all tracks are straight from the original 4 track tapes, disks and sessions. Classic heavy-hitting pioneers fill the roster, including MF Grimm, Count Bass D, Grand Puba and Sadat X, alongside artists like the Alps Cru (The Holy Grail of Indie Hip-Hop), Black Spade, Jia Davis and Deep Six.  All of the beats have DJ Crucial’s consistent homage to the boom bap 90s using the SP 1200 and MPC 2000. 

This is a limited edition of 200 double cassettes.  Tape one is the full "Retro Active" album on a black cassette and tape two includes all instrumentals on a white cassette.  Each order includes a digital download to both tapes.

Our 71st release is from the legendary STEZO!!! 8 tracks in all (4 previously unreleased) and limited to 300 copies (100 on Colored copies and 200 on standard black). All songs were recorded between 1989-1996 and taken straight from STEZO's vaults! The tracks "Police Story", "Here To School Ya" and "I Have A Dream" were from his 2nd album set for Sleeping Bag Records in 1990 until the project was shelved. The other tracks are from the sought after "Where's The Funk At" 12" and features K-SOLO!! We have also included a remix from DJ FUNKDAT of "Where's The Funk At" that has never been released on wax!!! Get this before it's gone!

Truuust! 2019 is about to really heat up as the third instalment of TCF Music Group’s compilation series Trust Tape is hitting April 5. For those not familiar, Trust Comes First is 38 Spesh’s label and it’s the home of up and comers Che Noir, Klass Murda, and Green Double.

“War Wounds” is the lead street single off Trust Tape 3 and mellow banger featuring Griselda golden boy Benny The Butcher, his BSF Records artist Duffel Bag Hottie, and the Queen of TCF, Che Noir. Not to mention the cut is produced by Rochester royalty, Eto. Over a fly-as-hell flute loop all three lyricists recount tales of that gritty street life. While this will whet fans' appetites, it's likely to get the fiends jonesin' too!
