'Love Complete' marks a nostalgic return to the duo’s roots in house music. Released on their own imprint, the EP captures the essence of the early 2000's, blending classic house vibes with modern production.

Reuniting with the talented Charlotte Riby, who previously featured on their acclaimed Innervisions' track 'Memories,'  Frankey & Sandrino have crafted a deeply emotional and evocative journey through sound. 'Love Complete' was born from a moment of personal inspiration between Sandrino and his better half, which Charlotte Riby transformed into a heartfelt lyrical narrative and melody.

Complementing the title track, the B-side 'Contrary' goes deeper into the groove with its rich deep house textures.

VV Cephei, also known as HD 208816, is an eclipsing binary star system located in the constellation Cepheus, approximately 5,000 light years from Earth. A red supergiant fills the system's Roche lobe when closest to its companion blue star, the latter appearing to be on the main sequence. Matter flows from the red supergiant onto the blue companion for at least part of the orbit and the hot star is obscured by a large disk of material. The red supergiant primary, known as VV Cephei A, is currently recognised as one of the largest stars in the galaxy, with an estimated solar radius of 1,050.

Frankey & Sandrino Return to Sum Over Histories with a Disco-Pop Remix of Ede & Max Joni’s Weine Nicht Kind

Frankey & Sandrino make a striking return to their own imprint, Sum Over Histories, with a long-awaited remix of Weine Nicht Kind by Ede & Max Joni — a track originally released on Watergate Records two years ago and celebrated ever since for its emotional depth and genre-bending character.

Rooted in connection and shared experience, Weine Nicht Kind is a track that speaks to vulnerability and strength in equal measure. Its marching melody, brassy bassline, and the raw, German-spoken vocal from Max Joni channel the energy of Neue Deutsche Welle, colliding Berlin’s stark expressiveness with 80s nostalgia. The original release included a Dub Mix and Max Joni’s own remix — an Indie Dance take laced with Afro House rhythms.

Now, Frankey & Sandrino add their unique touch. Inspired from the first listen, the duo transformed the track into a shimmering, groove-laden version that leans into disco-pop with their unmistakable finesse.

“Ede originally sent me the track quite some time ago,” Sandrino recalls. “Max’s voice immediately captivated me – especially because it’s sung in German. Right away, we knew we had to try a remix. As soon as we started playing around with the vocal and the bassline, everything came together quickly and naturally. We actually made the track over two years ago – and to be honest, we like it even more now than we did back then.”

Now, after sitting with the remix and letting it mature, Frankey & Sandrino are ready to share it with the world — a testament to patience, intuition, and their evolving sound.

Their remix of Weine Nicht Kind is out on May 2nd on Sum Over Histories.
