This was the first 45 minutes of a 90 minute set.  I was assaulted by a Newark Undercover Cop 
from behind without warning.  This individual was trying to turn off the sound system off and I pushed him back and we go about 5 feet backwards into a wall.  Never once did this officer say a word and never produced a badge.  His actions put everyone in danger including his own team when organizers tried to pull us away from each other.  The music didn't stop until another uniformed officer flipped the table over.  Just seconds before this hundreds of party goers were enjoying the night and not one person posed any threat to anyone, peace & love & having fun.

At this point a full on riot broke out with uniformed police officers punching & kicking several people, using excessive force and handcuffing people.  A close friend and associate of mine named Alex wound up getting charged with Assualt On A Police Officer.  For just coming into separate myself and the initial cop who attacked me.  This officer needs to be held accountable.

Okay I'm back 2 tha digitizing from my personal tape collection... A lot of request. Here'z 2 Berlin wanting some Detroit Techno. I had thee pleasure 2 play along side Juan Atkins @ The ADE in Amsterdam in 2008'. That wuz an amazing experience. Especially on tha way 2 tha gig we were jammin' 2 Dave Clarke on tha radio & he dropped a Juan Atkins track & Juan started 2 sing it right there live in tha back seat of our ride 2 tha gig. BTW, DJ Pierre wuz on tha other side of me, we were on our way 2 an Afro Acid warehouse party ")

Juan Atkins - Electronic, 1996'(Manny'z Tapez)

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
