THE BEST OF FRANKIE BONES IN 2022

The concept of Cyberpunk seems to be 50 years into the future.  In a scene that was once based far into the future, the 2020 vision we had in 1990 was stopped dead in its tracks by a worldwide pandemic.  Moving forward, we all are still being manipulated by the forces that have control.  Government & Corporations with money.  And the division & dividing continues in a society living on the edge, worried about the future.  

So what is next?  Everyone is in this struggle together.  We play music to help people cope with their everyday stress.  This is not a game to me, folks.  I have been humbled by it all.  Left without a voice, all I have is music.  Without it I am doomed.   So please share the message here.  I have nothing but good intentions for the future of our scene & culture.

So Perry K and I went to see the new Spider-Man movie "No Way Home"  and I have some Spider-Man history since the first record I ever owned was "Beyond The Grave" by Spider-Man when I was 6 years old.  Not to give away the plot, Dr. Strange has to reverse the spell and in turn Spider-Man's girlfriend forget's who he is.  And I'm like "Doc Strange in the Range like Whoa". OZON024 Frankie Bones - I Can Feel It

The Pilots Glory is a weird phenomena I only witnessed once back in 2013 on a flight to Chicago.  It was around the time when I first figured out the multiverse.  Way before the Spider-Man movies.  But I only really understood this multiverse through genres of music.  And even still with that, it took a book called "Join The Future" (Bleep Techno & British Bass Music)written in 2019 but goes back to 1990 to understand the depth.

It was in this book that I was described as a "Rave Evangelist" a term I have never heard before.  There is some profound depth here, like public speaking or preaching to convert folks to a faith.  Not religion though, but rave.  We didn't use words like "Influencer" or "Urban Exploration" but before there was social networking it came down to a phone number on a record I produced.

I suppose being 20 years into the future wasn't a bad thing, that is until everyone else caught up to me putting us in 2010.  I'm almost invisible today.  And that is OK, because I'm the only person who has the antidote.  Music.  Like this, another notch in the ladder so to speak.

THE BELLS / PURPOSE MAKER / JEFF MILLS / AXIS - Jeff Mills flagship track from Kat Moda was one of the finest techno releases of the 1990's.  It's pretty much Holy Grail.  So first things first, I've been spending most of my free time making music.  Sometimes I get lucky.  In fact if this version didn't excell while I was creating it, I would have simply walked away and left it alone.  But it began to sound really good & punchy.  I started feeling like Jeff would really enjoy it.  

I mean "Let No Man Put Asunder" is one of the most sampled vocals of all time.  But the placement of the words in this one, I heard it in an old 2011 track by Butch, and knew it would accent The Bells well.  It's really subjective but I will leave it up to you.   Enjoy.

JEFF MILLS - THE BELLS - THE 2021 FRANKIE BONES REDUX

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
