TRESOR.BERLIN / DJ FRANKIE BONES / JULY 1, 2022 - First things first, it was great to be able to fly to Berlin to play Tresor after the Covid-19 outbreak & lockdown of 2020/2021.  It's been three years for me not being in Europe.  My last European gig was at Tresor in 2019.

I've been through it all in the past few years, it's humbled me out and allowed me enough time to really focus on myself as a DJ and I've come to a new level of understanding.

Levelled up.  Way up.  I know what I am up against in these times.  The way I play and the way I select tunes is why Tresor books me year after year.  This is my second Soundcloud mix of 2022, so I knew in advance I would have to really step things up and this won't disappoint.

My objective here is for you the listener to hear things you don't hear from anyone else.  And to be blown away by it.  To stand out in the digital blob of endless DJ mixes you are bombarded with every single day.

To know people I consider friends get annoyed when I DM them this special moment.  Sign of the times.  But I'm being honest.  This needs to be heard.

Magic Happened Sunday August 21st at Even Furthur 2016 in Somewhere, Wi 
Tommie Sunshine took the decks on the Electrified Entertainment & A Long Nite Productions NETWORK 10 "Venus" Stage at Even Furthur not knowing what was about to happen. He started his mix, and for the next 90 min Tommie and the one and only FRANKIE BONES went song for song mixing Flawlessly back and forth. The crowd grew from just a few to hundreds, the track selection made everyone grove. Give it a listen

512 - Mixed Live 'Carl Cox 2nd Session' - Area2 Detroit (2002)

Factory 2018 - A series of DJ Mixes which began on July 4, 1992 in the abandoned warehouses on the Brooklyn waterfront.  The legendary girl with the halo & the gun became the iconic branding of the series.  She came to dance.  The gun was only there to protect the dancers.  26 years later nobody got shot.  Breaking into abandoned warehouses to dance past sunrise took on a new style of Electronic Music.  Techno was the root. but Trance, Hardcore, Breaks & House  all represented.  We wind up here in 2018.  With Techno as it is meant to be.

FRANKIE BONES - LIVE @ TECHNOSTATE / LOS ANGELES / MAY 12, 2018

Carl Cox was always the peoples favorite DJ ever since I met him in the U.K. in 1989.  This has not changed in almost 30 years.  He wrote the blueprint for worldwide success in DJ Culture while I was writing blueprints for American Rave Culture.   Teksupport threw one hell of a party on June 16 in Brooklyn.  

As I always continue to innovate, this set is different then anything I have been known for in the past.    It's Techno in 2018.  I never lost that hardcore edge, but the fact that I am an opener of Carl, it's a hot summer day and people had just arrived, I did something that emulated my original arrival to the U.K. in August 1989. 

The Tempo.  This entire set was 122-123 Beats Per Minute. Quite slow for techno.  
But it is that innovation which is important for me in this day & age of DJ culture.  To be different & unique then follow everyone else.
