Eternal 88 is an omnipresent force between gaining and losing the people we care about.  Both living and the ones we lost along the way.  We never forget.  At least I don't.  I am very hyper-focused on memories of things from the past.  But I am equal on forward thinking, what is destiny and did I make the right choices?

The pandemic introduced itself at a specific time a year ago.  Last year on April 15, 2020, New York City lost 10,000 people in the matter of 30 days.  Whatever DJ Culture was has been frozen in time to the 30 years before it.  The great reset button pressed now in 2021.

It was my actions in 1988 which led me here.  But Eternal 88 is Hellbent on 2002.  A year after 9-11.  2012 is another year.  I got stories for days.  Based on real.  All I wanted was my music & how I play it to survive.  

Onto this project.  A lot of soul searching went on to make this reality.  It's from the soul, from my heart and it's honest.  It's "Frankie Bones" in present, omnipresent moment.  The here & now.  Today.  It's still future forward.  I'm actually holding the juicy bits back letting the universe do it's thing.

Soundtrack to a movie that has yet to be written.  If there has been any mix I have done in the past 30 years that you may have enjoyed, then get ready.  I have been a thrillseeker since day one.  I have been collecting data for well over a year now.  Specifically for when the pandamic ended.  

The only way to stand out in a world based on social media numbers is to find your signature sound and secure it with a style that defines you.  To be able to deliver something like this is nearly impossible.  Because it remains in uncharted territory.   But you decide.  Your ears will be pleased.

Liquid Funk Session (Spring 2022)

This is a wild one. The story behind it is that Scott made a couple hundred copies of this mix tape to give out as Xmas gifts for patrons attending his Buzz parties in lovely Southeast DC. Its an amazing taste of a different era of dance music. Opening track has the most hilarious samples from 20/20 with Barbara Walters talking about Raves and copping drugs. It is either a blessing or a lesson.  We do come in Peace.  With a message of Love.  We need Unity.  And less Disrespect.  I really spend a lot of time trying to reinvent myself.  The loss of friends & family took a major toll on everybody in 2020.  I want to wish everyone a happy New Year in 2021.  The Coronavirus Pandemic made a lot of people's bullsh1t come to the surface.  

I believe 80's music can save the planet.  But I'm not getting on a retro kick.  I actually begin with a 1970's soul classic which I upgraded to 1984 status so kids could breakdance to it.  And so older folks can listen and like what they hear.  To some that want the standard Techno business, it's in here but it doesn't just start from GO.  The PLUR tapes goes through a series of styles which includes actual songs, with stories, peaks and valley's.

I like to tell stories through my music.  Build it like a foundation up.   Be unique.  Have a signature style and then go listen to a dozen legends, pick the 12 most famous American DJ's from the 1990's.  The ones that have bigger fan bases then me and can play their music, their way.   You will have fun.  I love these guys.  Then come back and tell me what I do which makes me a worthy choice.

I don't push PLUR because it was cool decades ago.  I push PLUR to keep me in check when somebody needs a can of Twisted Tea straight to the face.  I have to bow out gracefully and not entertain any type of hate.  Don't scream that horrible word out to me, my Nickel.  "Nickel"?  Yes.  You put your two cents in with a dime in your pocket.  I'm tryna make a dollar out of 41 cents and still give you back your change, my nickel.   Yes.  It's my nickel.  It's silver and you get back three pennies with that. Whatever you are thinking otherwise is on you. 

There is more to this story but lemme get back to you O.K.

THE PLUR TAPES // VOLUME 2 // JANUARY 2, 2021

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
