HACIENDA - JAN 27, 1991 - From the lost master tapes which turned up in storage last year, the raw master from my only Hacienda appearance in Manchester, U.K.   No editing or remastering, this is the raw uncut which I feel is important to keep in its original form.  There is a couple of glitches and noise issues but that is to be expected from a 24 year old DJ mix.

The pair have had a great year with releases on Love On The Rocks and Chida’s Ene. With the follow up to Baboon ready to drop again on Love On The Rocks and a remix of Jose Manuel due out on Above Machine, the lads are set for great things this upcoming year. I just realized I have posted this mix a few yrs ago. I didn't realize cuz I had so many friends record me showz from NYC radio, not 2 mention other showz around the globe. In any case, these 2 friends of mine were recording on the same night. I usually put the tapes I digitized in a separate tote marked "Tapes That I Already Posted". So with that being said, there might be some doubles like this in the future.
Okay, enough of that, Frankie Knuckles delivers the goods as he always did. Frankie Knuckles is a true legend as we all know. What I loved about him, he alwayz treated his fans with family like love. I truly miss him ❤️

Late Night Sessions III [Disc 2]

713 - MOS Late Night Sessions 3 - Farley and Heller - Disc 2 (1999)

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
