Motor was such a great experience!! my 1st. It was me, small town, lonley 18 yr. old, radio waves for 2 years a sound orgasm and curiosity, then **BAM** road trip -alone- and Discovered Detroit! Motown's Evolution of Tha Music -it's spirit, it's soul- the people and its Real! Love all of Yaz in this story with me! A great story and honestly, a Magical adventure!

Motor Detroit was my home music place to dance in the 90s,the resident was DJ Bone on Friday and broadcasting live on 89x with kid Adriel on the house mike and was 5 dollars to get in from the start and yes a tech fan of Detroit since the 80s thanks9xx

LIVE IN DETROIT - MOTOR - NOVEMBER 25, 1998 - From the lost DAT tapes, another beautiful find.  From the five year residency I had in Detroit at the legendary MOTOR LOUNGE (1997-2001) - A special HOUSE set which was prepared for a Wednesday Night, the night before Thanksgiving.  House Heads will instantly notice a level of higher intelligence reserved for fans of Derrick Carter, Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Little Louie Vega, etc.  It's the essence of proper tuneage in an era which relied on vinyl.  I went on to win Detroit METRO's favorite CLUB DJ of 1999 for constantly packing MOTOR month after month which went on for almost 5 years.  Great times, Great people.

THE BELLS / PURPOSE MAKER / JEFF MILLS / AXIS - Jeff Mills flagship track from Kat Moda was one of the finest techno releases of the 1990's.  It's pretty much Holy Grail.  So first things first, I've been spending most of my free time making music.  Sometimes I get lucky.  In fact if this version didn't excell while I was creating it, I would have simply walked away and left it alone.  But it began to sound really good & punchy.  I started feeling like Jeff would really enjoy it.  

I mean "Let No Man Put Asunder" is one of the most sampled vocals of all time.  But the placement of the words in this one, I heard it in an old 2011 track by Butch, and knew it would accent The Bells well.  It's really subjective but I will leave it up to you.   Enjoy.

JEFF MILLS - THE BELLS - THE 2021 FRANKIE BONES REDUX

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
