So Jr. Mac's Sess1ons of 2020 was just a guy who wanted to get out of his house and play some music during the covid lockdown.  It became a steady weekly event known as Beach & Bridge sessions in Brooklyn.  

Steady local and well known DJ's played every week, totally made history.  This track right here was created for those events and wound up being my biggest track of the season. 

The 1977 Rose Royce ballad got updated twice.  It was a U.K. Drum & Bass classic, when I gave it a new lease on life in this slower yet effective Bonesbreaks mix.  Download it.  Happy Holidays.

Factory Mix-Tapes is now at 31 years old.  And with that came the experience of a life time.   But the underground remains timeless.  I dare to be different.  In these 77 minutes I take riska and I play new music.  Some stuff is my own & some isn't.  

I don't do this for fame or for money.  I do it as a means for survival, for without it, I would not have any reason to continue on day after day.  The music really does heal and makes me have a sense of purpose.  I'm good right now.  You will be to if you believe.;

Just as the title implies Global Techno is our worldwide assault on the senses through crisp drums and monstrous synths. Represented on the compilation are artists from Holland, Belgium, Germany, America, Italy, Japan and Australia; quite a diverse crowd yet all sharing a common obsession for body-shaking bass.

This was the first 45 minutes of a 90 minute set.  I was assaulted by a Newark Undercover Cop 
from behind without warning.  This individual was trying to turn off the sound system off and I pushed him back and we go about 5 feet backwards into a wall.  Never once did this officer say a word and never produced a badge.  His actions put everyone in danger including his own team when organizers tried to pull us away from each other.  The music didn't stop until another uniformed officer flipped the table over.  Just seconds before this hundreds of party goers were enjoying the night and not one person posed any threat to anyone, peace & love & having fun.

At this point a full on riot broke out with uniformed police officers punching & kicking several people, using excessive force and handcuffing people.  A close friend and associate of mine named Alex wound up getting charged with Assualt On A Police Officer.  For just coming into separate myself and the initial cop who attacked me.  This officer needs to be held accountable.

Slated for a vinyl only release initially, Dusky invite Hodge and Jerome Hill to remix the rolling techno of “Parakeet Feet’ from their recent ‘Ordinary World EP’.

Part of the Livity Sound collective, Bristol’s Hodge has been responsible for some of the most fresh and leftfield UK techno excursions in the past year or so. Focussing on the original’s ‘talk to me’ sample, Hodge drops a dark, twisted techno banger in his unique style.

On the flip, underground legend Jerome Hill cranks out a raw, ravey acid house work out that builds and builds with a dynamic surge of screaming, layered 303s.

That alliance has always made me a part of the KJ family and I still feel like a student of the game when I step out of my comfort zone and play genres I am not known to play.

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
