THE SMILE ON YOUR FACES / FRANKIE BONES / ELECTROTECH

Exactly as the title suggests, it's two fractals away from Psytrance.  Now before anyone gets their knickers in a bunch, I started a record label called Atmosphere Records with Tommy Musto/Silvio Tancredi in early 1990 which went on to sign The Infiniti Project & Man With No Name.  Early Goa Trance acts which went on to become the first active Psytrance acts.

That being said this is experimental which is the name of the label which replaced Atmosphere in 1992.  So we are on the cusp of 30 years once again.   In any case enjoy this short showcase.   This is a nice new beginning in the works here.   Enjoy.

TWO FRACTALS AWAY FROM PSYTRANCE

I have moments.  Some I can't explain and I had this synchronicity before but when it happens there is no way to describe the feeling.  It's not about me and the music anymore, it's somewhere in the cosmo's. 

There could be a billion songs out there, but the day after I created this I am in a local Brooklyn Pizzeria.  I put some garlic on my two slices and the moment my butt sits down, the original Londonbeat track starts on the radio station WCBS-FM.

O.K. so yes it's 30 years old, it's playing on New York Radio in 2021 and I just made it the night before.  So what does it mean?  

Pretty much nothing I suppose.  Or maybe it does?

The Bonesbreaks Edition's which make absolutely no sense, usually are the best ones.  I don't have any answers on following this rabbit hole.  I know I went down in it, did whatever I did and escaped with my life.

This is underground legend.  In 2017 Bjarki had the biggest "Techno" track of the year with his take on "Go Bang".   A minimal effect play on DJ Deeon's "2 Be Free" (1996 Dancemania).   I actually took parts from the DJ Deeon along with the original Dinosaur L from 1982.  That was Sleeping Bag Records jump off track back in 82.  Then came the Todd Terry Project "Bango" in 1988.   Another Sleeping Bag Records hit. 

The label in the pic is the end result.  A Youtube video download which started and ended on Youtube.   In the meantime, Carl Cox was hammering this exclusive.  Something timeless even 4 years later after I created it.  People ask me about it, now download it here free.

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
