The album takes place in the ancient desert village of Foreverant, and begins with a little boy on the eve of the village's annual festival, "Stall." He becomes confused and his feelings summon a great rain, which in its wake presents him with a journey to "Faraway Place." Meditating on the rain and the journey, he experiences a sunrise, a submersion to the bottom of a deep sea, and then a sunset. Scrambling across the repetitive landscape, he becomes part of an endless repeating pattern of time, light, and fragmented memories from his experiences in Foreverant. Finally he is faced with the ultimate symbol of confusion and mystery: the Purple Skull in the Sky, which erases everything and shoots him through a purple fog of truth, back to Foreverant, on the Eve of Stall. He goes back into his house, up to his bedroom, and lies down.
