Wanted to write a song with horns. Was kind of thinking Memphis Horns and R&B which evolved into this. Some amazing players on this one including Rick Melick on B3 organ who played with Clapton on "Live from the Royal Albert Hall."

Hello everyone,
this is finally my first original tune "Elwood's Tune". I wrote the lyrics and the melody - for the first time.

Song background:
I wrote the song influenced by the movie "Harvey" from 1950, starring James Stewart. The main character Elwood is a warm and pleasant human being and is starting to have a friendly conversation with everyone he meets. Usually he even invites them for dinner to his home. Even though it's not the only thing the movie is about, I think that in today's day and age - 73 years later - we could use some of this care and friendliness towards others. Maybe even more than ever.

Les paumés d'un petit matin, creusés au froid d'une Belgique chienne, Refermeront les fenêtres sur les ivrognes solitaires aux prières païennes. Bergers amidonnés d'un vieux port en partance pour filles et chiens, Capitaines ou singes, bigotes irréfléchies comme biches de rien.

Ces gens-là, rassasiés de tango funèbre, ne pensent qu'au suivant,
Et qui pour des bonbons, en parlotant, finiront par oublier le fier moribond En sachant déjà pourtant que vieux, ils ne seront ni beaux, ni cons,
Et qu'un Don Quichotte à jeun pour un jour fera revenir leur maman.
