Detached from the ground. The floating tree… A shimmering light, in a wide open space... I started this side project to create a safe haven for some of my musical works that never saw the daylight. While cleaning up my cellar I found a box with some of my old demo cassette tapes. Amazing, how many ideas just end up in a box somewhere hidden in a dark place... Over the years I have totally forgotten about most of this stuff... So, instead of casette tape dying of old age in a dark dusty corner, why not have some of this stuff out here on my site? In the music player you will find a collection of some of my old demos and recordings that never have been released before. Most of the songs are old 4 track cassette recordings. Some of the vocals on it are merely guide vocals to be replaced later on. Unfortunately, later didn't come.... My aim is to reuse these initial ideas, rerecord the songs and someday release the refreshed tracks as a complete 'Floating Tree' album... Meanwhile, on this page, you can listen to the old stuff.  And yes… Some of the songs definitely have a kind of 'retro' touch to it. Most of the demos were written in the late eighties. Some of the stuff was created even before I first joined Clan Of Xymox in 1985...

Wildest Horse by White Rose Transmission

After the sudden death of Adrian Borland, White Rose Transmission seemed to be doomed as being history, but Carlo carried on a few years later with his good friend Rob Keijzer on board. Together they recorded a collection of acoustic idea’s and stripped down these songs to the bare basics, which resulted in the third WRT album ‘Bewitched and Bewildered’ in 2006. For the next album Rob got in touch with Frank Weyzig, a long time friend and songwriter, known for his work with ‘Clan of Xymox’ and ‘Born for Bliss’. Maybe coincidence, or just faith but Frank was also a huge Adrian Borland fan himself and liked the idea of working together with Rob and Carlo on a follow up album for White Rose Transmission. Already after a first session in Frank’s studio in Amsterdam, they immediately knew that there was some magic going on! Slowly but gradually the project evolved into something really solid. 

During one of these sessions Frank worked on an old Adrian Borland demo recording and built a complete new arrangement around Adrian’s original vocal. Talking about magic! The result of this is a mesmerizing version of Adrian’s epic song ‘Foreign land’… From that moment on the complete album was getting shaped automatically, almost as if the project was being guided by an invisible hand. 

White Rose Transmission's new album 'Spiders in The Mind Web' is already being marked by insiders as an intruiging and timeless document. A concept album with no beginning and without an end. White Rose Transmission will keep your ears captured in a translucant and sometimes surreal musical environment, with music influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Jeff Buckley and beyond. So yes, you better buckle up and prepare yourself for a trip into the Mind Web...

Frank Weyzig is a Dutch producer, composer and bandmember, known for his work with psychedelic wave band Born For Bliss and for his membership of the original line-up with Clan of Xymox. 

More recently Frank is involved with VASELYNE, White Rose Transmission and Stargazing Project. In 2011, Frank founded 'TURMOIL MUSIC', a music platform for Independent Artists.
