<p>This collection of label boss Sasha Carassi&#8217;s tracks boasts remastered gems from the past and brand-new tracks ready to be placed in many a Techno arsenal.The first half of this compilation consists of Sasha&#8217;s older works which feel right at home with his newer productions and that&#8217;s not just because of the remastering. All of the elements we know and love are here; pulsating synths, shadowy effects, tense atmospherics and stomping drums.The three closing tracks show Mr. Carassi in top form again, with &#8220;Phorme&#8221; setting the tone with staccato stabs and rumbling subs. &#8220;Globular Cluster&#8221; gives a taste of a dismal, mechanized future, and the closing &#8220;Old Fashioned Lover&#8221; gives a firm nod to the old school with trademarked chords and familiar vocals.</p>

In what is a momentous occasion for Soma Records, we hit the milestone 400th release of the label and who better to see this in than label heads SLAM as they lead up to their new album due to drop this October. Soma are proud to present the double A sided Rotary/Catacoustics. Slam have been locked away in the studio these past months working hard on their latest album which sees them look to past machines and new technologies to form the base of this new album. These album sessions have spawned two raucous tracks that state where the veteran producers are with their sound. These tracks have the dance floor firmly in mind and display the years of experience Slam have in knowing what exactly will whip up a storm.

Rotary opens the EP with a definite analogue rawness as a storming synth hook leads the track from the offset. Keeping it stripped back the boys allow the hook to bend and evolve over the course of the track, reminiscent of early Hood-esq minimalism. Straight up percussion backs the track and keeps the groove true to Techno.

Catacoustics takes things down a deeper route as low subs rumble while a nicely delayed bell tone reverberates gently in the background giving depth to the track. Strung out percussion flutters in the back as subtle time stretch is applied giving this a trippy and mind melting feel. Slam pull back on the reigns ever so slightly going into the break as yet more subtle builds give tension before firing back with the hypnotic feel essence of the track

Soma400 signals the start of the countdown to the latest Slam album and also shows why they have been in electronic music for over 20 years.

A family affair, Elong Wong has joined forces with his DJ/producer son X904 alongside fellow artist Kosimo on Generation Smash to unveil their newest single ‘Needed Me’. 
‘Needed Me’ takes the typical techno sound and flips it on its head to create a ‘hypertechno’ soundscape. Punchy and pulsating synths collide in an earth-shattering way, the result being a vibrating fireball of energy. Blending elements of the classic 90s high-energy dance sound with the futuristic production skills, it is something that feels fresh yet familiar. An inquisitive blend of different inspirations, the three artists have allowed each other’s sounds to take the spotlight in equal measure, ensuring each signature sound is heard loud and clear.
With its high-energy bpm and roaring bassline, it will leave any listener with no choice but to surrender to the beat, chanting along to the vocals sprinkled throughout. ‘Needed Me’ is the perfect antidote to when you need to get the party started.
A trailblazer in every sense of the word, Elong Wong was the first artist in China to release a full electronic music album. Starting his career out in 1998 where he first became a DJ, he’s a triple threat of talent where he producers, DJs, and sings. Also an artist who took his first steps into the world of DJing in 1998, Italy’s Kosimo is the creator of the self-named new ‘Deep Progressive’ sound, pioneering with his own forward-thinking productions. X904 may just be 8 years old, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his passion already. Following in the footsteps of his father Elong Wong, his journey started at just 3 years old and has now bloomed into a full-blown career.

Markantonio introduces the forty – eighth release with a magic return, in this number we catch after one year Mr. Frankyeffe that with his last work on Analytic “Riot” will be remembered for a long time. “Riot” was been played and charted by the best DJ/producers of the globe like: Joseph Capriati, Adam Beyer, Green Velvet, Rino Cerrone, Gary Beck and the same Markantonio just to name a few. Now is the time to bring up the listeners over the top with this great release called “Iron” and made by three original tracks, so just pump up the volume and have a good listening.
First one is called “Iron” that is a powerful bomb made by drum raw elements and rough bassline, a shaker session take the rhythm straight ahead waiting for the Synth comin’ up, it’s a super old school Techno device.

FRANKYEFFE - BIOGRAPHY 
Traversing the winding passages of his own cavernous capabilities, prolific Italian DJ, producer and label owner Frankyeffe – real name Francesco Fava – is well on his way to reaching the peak of his towering potential. Since his career’s 2001 inception, he’s wandered some of the darkest corners of melodic techno, injecting innovation and amplitude and gradually cementing himself as a true master within his own class.
Initially rising to prominence behind the decks of Rome’s renowned Rashomon Club, for three consecutive seasons, the venue’s intimate interior provided a vast canvas for Frankyeffe to draw upon. Soon sparking the interests of a wider audience, he’s since reached international recognition playing at various Mutate events in Naples, the Audio Club in Geneva, Germany’s Audiogate festival in 2017 and a monster slot on the Pryda stage at 2018’s instalment of Tomorrowland in Belgium. Stretching his reach further to high profile gigs in the UK, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Columbia and China his music is fast becoming a global force to be reckoned with.  
Helping to inspire other artist’s talent and creativity, Frankyeffe’s fierce DIY ethos is embodied by his own Riot Recordings label where he’s simultaneously put out a number of his own releases including his name making 2015 debut album, Trenta along with a handful of other flourishing and deserved artists – Teenage Mutants, Maksim Dark, Heerhorst and Spartaque to name a few. He’s worked alongside the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano – winner of ‘Best Producer’ at the 2019 DJ Awards – as well as been featured on established imprints that span Noir, Kraftek, We Are The Brave, Senso Sounds and Terminal M. 
With an exciting schedule already underway, Frankyeffe has a busy year ahead with a string of tour dates and releases on Senso Sounds and his own Riot Recordings ready to drop in early 2020. Well set on the highroad to stardom, 2020 will be a crucial year for this buzzing techno talent.
