The Apostle

Circadian Beats is a new creative project from Glasgow-based musician Franny McKeown, a familiar face in the city’s music scene for over two decades. After spending 20+ years playing in and around Glasgow in various bands and collaborative projects, Franny has carved out a fresh space for his own sonic vision—an alternative rock/pop project shaped by experience, intuition, and the rhythm of everyday life.

Rooted in the melodic instincts he’s honed across countless gigs, sessions and studio hours, Circadian Beats blends atmospheric guitars, pulsing rhythms and emotive hooks. The sound moves between bold, driving sections and quieter, reflective moments—always anchored by a sense of momentum, motion and emotional honesty.

In 2025, Circadian Beats released its new album Everything In Motion, a record that captures the evolution of Franny's songwriting over the years. The album explores themes of renewal, late-night clarity, resilience and what it means to keep moving forward even when life shifts under your feet. Each track reflects a different part of Franny's Journey—both as an artist shaped by Glasgow’s vibrant music community and as a songwriter stepping confidently into a new identity.
