Found this demo version of "Me and Freddie" from back in 2003. Must be about the first jazz/fusion song Sebastiaan Cornelissen and me recorded together. A version of this later appeared on "One Spirit" in 2006, with a blistering Richard Hallebeek guitarsolo. But this pianosolo also has a nice vibe to it :)

Dirty Loops - Baby play along midifile I made for my students last year. With this midifile you can mute any instrument, or import in the score editor of your choice to check the keyboards score. It is not entirely acurate, some things have been copy pasted to save some programming time. But along side with the original Youtube Dirty Loops version you'll figure it out.

Because of the big response from people who would like to obtain this file I decided to make it available. Below you'll find a download link to a zipfile containing the midifile, a bass score arranged for 4 string, stems in different tempos and versions without bass or drums. Enjoy!

This solo by Jeff Andrews over a standard blues in F might well be on of the most creative electric bass solo's performed over a simple F jazzblues. It goes way beyond virtuosity, his melodic and especially rythmic frasing is incredible, one continous stream of interesting concepts and ideas. He probably could go on for another 20 minutes without getting boring! Everything you could possible wish is there: Strong melodic playing, amazing rythmic frasing (check out his 5 over 4 patterns especially), rythmic displacement, altered pentatonics, Patterns in fourth intervals, octotonics, its all there. If you are up for a real challenge, check out this 7 page transcription! You won't regret it :)
