Foolish Sea, produced by Dan Webster is the blend of all things associated with Fran’s unique and captivating styleHer pure toned voice and entrancing, soaring melodies lure you in from the very beginning into a quirky tale of unrequited love. George Birkett’s sublime guitar playing and finger picking precision, underpins the song holding its own poetic voice alongside Fran’s spell binding lyrics. The track has been layered with percussion, cello (Rachel Brown) and harmonies that all add to a very jaunty yet pensive and heart felt exploration of the nature of love.

Foolish Sea

Spring anthem ‘Snowdrops and Me’ by Fran Wyburn from her debut album ‘Wood for the Trees’ (produced by Dan Webster) was written after a ‘spring cleaning frenzy’ and looking out from the ‘kitchen sink’ at the snowdrops rising through the wintery garden. The song is very much a hypnotic waltz between Fran’s souring and ethereal vocals and her friend and collaborator George Birketts delicate and bewitching guitar playing.

The singer-songwriter’s newly released EP 'Little Moments' is a beautiful collection of unique songs- characterized by rich harmonies and subtle instrumentation, providing a dreamy backdrop to her poetic lyrics. Inspired by the 1960’s folk revival, her style is current, original and spirited. Fran has joined harmonious forces with Rosie Evans a beautiful singer, George Birkett a mesmorising folk guitarist and singer and Sam Dutton Taylor a very talented bass player, the four of them make up the wonderful Fran Wyburn and the Indigos. They have been gigging across the UK charming audiences with their unique blend of folk, quirky story telling songs and warm personalities. In a short space of time they have already proved they are defintely one to watch out for in 2015. 
 
After working in London for several years Fran set off around the globe with her guitar on her back, returning a songwriter. Further honing her skills at the prestigious Leeds College of Music, she worked with Ivor Novello Award winning Iain Archer (Jake Bugg, Gabrielle Aplin, Snow Patrol).  The EP has also been mastered by the accomplished producer Toby Davies (Gentlemans Dub Club, Ranking Records).
 
Since launching her first EP in December Fran has already received national radio play (Mark Forest Show) and has an exciting schedule of gigs and festivals booked for 2015, including Spotlight on Female Composers at Leeds prestigious White Cloth Gallery, Tea House Theatre, London and Festival on the Moor, North Yorkshire and the Northern Green Gathering.
