Feinstoff regular Tallac is a producer and DJ from San Francisco. He found his love for synth music at an early age, obsessing over the soundtracks of 80s sci-fi movies like The Running Man, Akira, Blade Runner, and Dune, before finding his way to proper dance music during his teens in the late 90s. Through his tracks, he tries to capture that formative love of all things analog and outer space into songs and sets that feel simultaneously lost in time and pushing beyond the infinite.

In the United States, Tallac saw success with indie rock and bloghouse remixes throughout the early 2010s and played his eclectically-flavored sets at venues and warehouse parties in San Francisco, New York, and Burning Man, bringing the sounds of outer space to eager listeners hoping to find new homes in distant galaxies.

Now living in Berlin and focusing on an Italo and Space Disco sound, he’s seen singles and remixes released on AEON, Ritmo Fatale, and Sinchi Collective, and played sets at some of Berlin’s finest: Re:mise, Bulbul, and his recurring Italo Disco residency at Palabra Bar in Friedrichshain.

Berlin-based italo-disco record label Slow Motion mark their return with the full-length release 'Cafe Futuro', the sophomore album from label boss Franz Scala...Our pick is the fifth track ‘Saxon Rebel’ - a sleek, hyper stylised descent into the nocturnal undercurrents of Northern Germany. Co-produced by Local Suicide, the track operates at a steady 120 BPM, maintaining an unflinching tension without ever rushing. Acid-washed synth lines snake through layers of gleaming new beat arpeggios, while Vamparela’s Greek spoken-word passages lend an air of ritualistic mystique. For nearly three decades, Beartrax has been exploring a wide range of instruments and styles since first picking up the violin. His musical journey has consisted of playing in orchestras, jazz ensembles, and a metal band before he discovered electronic music in late 2011, after which he dove head-on into the world of production and DJing.

Beartrax’s productions and performances are deeply rooted in organic, musical elements, seamlessly blending violins and synths to reflect his rich musical background and passion for melodies. His influences span heavy metal, punk, new wave, and classical music.

Over the years, his productions have climbed several charts and gained support from renowned DJs. In pursuit of his artistic vision, he launched his own imprint, Melodize, as a platform to showcase his unique approach to house, disco, and techno. Beyond his own work, Melodize has featured tracks and remixes from artists such as Lauer, Marvin & Guy, Massimiliano Pagliara, Undo, and Aural Trace, receiving support from names like Skatebård, I-F, Jennifer Cardini, and Alexander Robotnick, among others.

Balearic sounds and Mediterranean warmth are the inspirations for Bruno Belissimo’s Bordello A Parigi debut. Drawing on disco, house and funk, Ottimo! is a four tracker of electronic exuberance with Belissimo’s musical ability and range immediately spilling from the speakers. Guitar strings curve around synthlines in the title piece, percussive textures giving way to the mantra-like refrain of “Ottimo!” Thick bass echoes into beaming keys for “Meduse.” Bright notes cascade, grooves melting with vocoder lyrics as classic disco tones are reimagined in this modern mirrorball medley. Organic rhythms introduce the flip. “Mirage” opens to ripples of bongos and toms as a loose structure takes hold. Hedonistic chants rise to a shimmering chord, kicks and snares funnelling the building energy as bold blasts and samples shriek with delight. “Las Piramides De Ibiza” brings the quartet to a close. Clean drum patterns support joyous notes, a machine dipped voice calling time.

The interesting Italian imprint Nubians of Plutonia proudly unveils "Proton Waves," a vibrant and cohesive VA that beautifully encapsulates the label's foundational sound. This eleven-track collection serves as a compelling survey of the current Indie Dance/Nu Disco landscape, bringing together a diverse and talented roster. On board: Astore, CSK (SXDNS088), Lucas Novaes, O.P.S., Samuele De Santis, Neurotiker, TDWS, and Pleasure Seeker, the label's own guiding force, just to name a few. Together, they form a collective of modern architects, each contributing a unique piece to a brilliantly cohesive puzzle, showcasing the creative ferment currently animating the scene and setting a compelling stage for the depths that follow.

Among these contributors, Rio de Janeiro-based Neurotiker stands as a particularly notable presence, an artist whose reputation for crafting vital dance-floor material is well-earned through a series of distinguished and well-received appearances on imprints such as Emerald & Doreen, Ritmo Fatale, Club Mackan, Dogmatraxxx, and Dischi Autunno. His contribution, the masterfully titled “Tottori Sakyu,” is a peak-time tour de force. The name, referencing Japan's vast coastal sand dunes, provides a perfect conceptual anchor for the track's expansive and shifting architecture. It constructs a mesmerising soundscape from deep, undulating synth layers that ripple with atmospheric pressure, while frenzied arpeggios spiral upwards through the mix. A discreet but driving percussive framework and enigmatic, speech-like vocals weave throughout the arrangement, creating a driving, textured journey designed to command the heart of the night with its relentless and hypnotic energy.

Tonally, this song is for the most part a “textbook” and rather simple synthwave track that borrows a few elements from progressive house, such as the drop, the buildup, 4-8 bar repetitions with layering, uplifting impact fxs, etc.
