Here comes the next must-have-vinyl for the new clubbing season! PRAXXIZ collects 4 strong remixes of Dr. Motte meets Gabriel Le Mar's last 'Fever EP' (PRZ018) on an sensational new bundle: 'Fever EP Remixed' 

Japans Techno legend Ken Ishii transformed the originally deep character of 'Zikade' into an ultimate floorfiller with solid sounds and delicate accents. Also the German Eric Sneo skillfully re-worked this track and left his unique mark on it.

Pascal Feos raised the temperature of 'Fever' with deep Techno grooves plus Chicago and Detroit sounds. PRAXXIZ contest winner DJ Sur from Houston Texas pushed the envelope and created a funky-fresh version with some experimental elements.

Norwegian techno institution Ploink launches annual series entitled ‘Affinity’ with its debut release featuring names like Skatebård, HndS, Roeglin, Fraunhofer and Priq.
Based in Bergen, Ploink has been flying the flag for Norwegian techno for well over two decades, organising some of the country’s best events and festivals. Co-founded by Thomas Urv and Miss Mostly, the label was born five years ago and has since released music from an array of homegrown talent including Mental Overdrive, Prins Thomas, +plattform, Joaquin Ruiz, Christian Tilt, and more.
Launching the label’s new ‘Affinity’ series, BerlinaFürTechno’s Roeglin is first with ‘Norm’ which opens with glitched stabs, vocals and a tight drum pattern. Picking up the pace, Fraunhofer - formerly known as Dortmund - returns to the label bringing a shuffling rhythm, crunchy cymbals and spacy synths in ‘Saturn’.
Bergen dance music royalty Skatebård remixes ‘Wake Up’ by London-based Scandinavian duo HndS, maintaining the energy with thumping bass and bouncing chords. Tying it all together, Norwegian producer and drummer Priq’s ‘Area’ sweeps in with decayed keys, pulsing percussion and a gripping atmosphere.

‘Affinity 1’ drops on Ploink on 27th September 2019.

World Of Illusions

Karl Fraunhofer is fluent in the languages of machine music. He’s a synth whisperer, a savant in the studio and a pretender across electronic music genres. From his first productions, which touched on the hedonistic heights of Trance to the stark minimal Techno he creates today in the Det Gode Selskab camp, Karl Fraunhofer has a versatile affinity for electronic music.

Born in Oslo, Norway and raised on Jazz, Karl had spent his youth learning to play several instruments.

After school, he enrolled in a sound engineering course on the opposite end of the world in Australia, where House, Minimal and Techno inspired Karl on a path to the producer and DJ he is today. He came back to Norway armed with this new knowledge and started building an impressive studio, which will leave most green with envy. He became ever more eloquent in his musical vocabulary as experience and perfection combined in across a wide palette of musical genres.

The brutalist Techno he made as Dortmund with Florian aka Illstm; the arcade synthwave he culled under his eponymous alias; and the slick minimal Techno and Micro House he makes today with his Gode Selskab compatriots have found themselves on esteemed labels from around the world most notably Teen age riot, Turbo records, Sony Intaly, Vocabula, Ploink, Beatservice and Det Gode Selskab.  

It’s with the Gode Selskab that Karl has entered into the latest chapter of his career and has found a collective and an outlet that can indulge his extensive musical fancies with remixes and releases dotting the label’s young discography. Today they run a studio together with Karl at the helm of the controls and an arsenal of vintage and modern synthesisers and drum machines, gleaning evocative sounds from the future across a spectrum of creative outlets.
