Next up on Seven Hills, we have an original release from the Holland-based Timo Faber and Jeffrey Baardolf AKA Young Adults!

Serving up 4 slices of tech’d out wiggle, melding: techno, minimal, electro, and a splash of noxious chemicals, the Anxiety Bar EP comprises a variety of heavyweight d-floor weapons.

Threat Level Midnight blends a combo of idiosyncratic drum samples with an infectious bubbling synth line, a prime example of peak-time tech-house tackle. While the title track Anxiety Bar takes a dark, moody, almost gothic turn, seriously phat bass for seriously phat systems. 

On the B, Integrated Lizard People slithers and slinks about gurgling synth lines and features unsettling reptilian almost-vocal sounds. Serving as a high-class closer, Fermented Feelings reigns in the trip with satisfying electro-ish drums, sauntering atop a sophisticated, warping melody.

The third release on this white label series brings together some key members of the Aniara crew. Bergqvist returns with a magnificently minimalist track: a drum machine, a 303 bassline and resonating arpeggios swirling to the moon and back. Dorisburg follows up with an angular, spiraling beat where the devil is in the sizzling details. Genius of Time close out the record on the flip with another one of their signature organic drum workouts.

Resolutely techno-oriented, the five tracks on the ep release an exciting live energy and give the impression of having been recorded as they are in one take. With its acid loops and female vocals, the first track, If Playing, is particularly powerful. 
Sophisticated yet spontaneous, exalted yet nuanced, the whole ep lends itself well to (almost) quiet listening at home, but above all seems tailor-made for live performance - ideally in a club, where the duo would achieve their primary objective: to get the audience dancing and going into a trance.

It’s been a long time coming but we are extremely excited to share with you our debut release!

Coming into orbit this April, the first part in an ongoing series of VA records. Kicking off the A side is Daze, who has stepped out in a new direction delivering ‘Advanced Realty’. A driving techno burner with dark overtones unlike any of his previous productions. Completing the A side is Melbourne’s Reptant, bringing you smoked out electro with hypnotic synths and trance-inducing pads on ‘Microstructure’. 

Flipping over to the B-side we find emerging Sydney producer Point Guard with ‘The Xhase’. A subtly staunch club weapon that comes as a melodic synthscape complete with broken beats and a rounded bassline. Completing the release, E Davd creates a deeply immersive aquatic world on ‘Wavestation (Nu Cycle Mix)’.
