I like seeds. Something magical about life emerging from something so tiny. Whenever I feel discouraged in my life I try to remind myself that it's the little things... everything begins with little things.

Blue Omen Operation - Pepper Gulch Fight

In Spring 2009, I took a class on video game design at whatever college I went to!  For my group’s game concept, we came up with TCNJ RPG, the RPG where you play as a student!  Unfortunately, due to a variety of factors (including, but not limited to, the lack of time, the fact that the class’s teacher proved to have a knack for getting hung up on largely irrelevant issues while ignoring things like keeping the project on schedule, and that the class was forced to use a toolkit that proved not at all suitable for complex games), the game was never finished!

That said, I did manage to compose quite a few songs for it, all of which solely use the Setzer SPC soundfont, giving them that SNES sound that is so popular nowadays!

This song is a bit of a Phantasm-ish song, it's my longest song yet, so it was quite a challenge, especially planning out the structure of the song, but i think i did a pretty nice job at it, and i've learned a lot from doing a longer song than usual.
I was asked to include some more complex chords than usual (the ones that contain more than 3 notes), so i tried to consider how i could implement those in the longer structure of the song, i think it went pretty well! I also added some surprise major chords.
Working with more limitations than usual was quite interesting, i feel like i tackled this song in a different way than usual, i'm quite happy with it.
