I was just about to walk out the house and I catch the food smokin
usually I don't forget. So I grab the towel and I wave the smoke around
I tie my shoes and I try to leave the house

And then I get outside. There's a man
He's walking up and down the platform

I wonder what he's thinking about
and so does everybody else
but nobody wants to ask 
so we all stay quiet

Now living in this city feels like home

Even when I lose my mobile phone

Friday night I watch her clean her room
I love and hate her at the same time 

I wanna get her out the mess she’s in
