A lot has happened since you last heard from me - growth, birth, death, change.. all while I was unable to use mixing music as my muse through it all. 

So here is my release. 

There are messages in the journey of the track selection, for those that listen, symbolizing how I've persevered.

Once Upon an Elder Moon

I always have a playlist of random genres & I seem to love a challenge, so, here is my attempt at mixing them together.  

If you've been following me for a bit now, you know I'm not likely to keep to one tempo/genre in my mixes. I like to journey through the sounds and follow my heart.. this one holds up to that, strongly. 

the perfectionist in me could keep trying this over and over again, but I start to lose my authenticity the more I do that. in the end - it's for the love of music & and I hope you can catch some feels within this mix like I do. 🫶🏼

Nothing on My Mind

This is my tribute to the one and only Pumpkin. He inspired me, one late summer afternoon, when I stumbled upon his live set at LIB in 2012. From then on, I made sure to catch every live show of his that I possibly could & every damn time the energy I felt on the dance floor was better than any other dance floor. It was always packed with many, many smiling faces full of new & old friends, brought together. History in the making - I knew right then and there that this is what it was all about. After hearing of his tragic passing in 2016, I felt a strong calling to carry on the duty of spreading love on the dance floor. It was at that point, when I started taking DJing more seriously on a more public scale. So this is for you, the fans, the ones who never got to know who he was, and Nick the Neck, up there in the sky, dancing in paradise. 🌰

Fall is here. Now & again - new, yet familiar. Arguably my favorite season, though I enjoy them all and the change they bring. 

Before I learned how to mix music, I was an extreme playlist curating enthusiast. Every playlist I have tells the story of the season I was in at that time. It's been a while, but I recently felt a calling to revisit them. For this mix, I pulled my most favorites that really slow me down, turn me inward for reflection and massage my soul. I love the challenge of putting tracks together that you might not think "match". Hearing the outcome has become a ritual for me that I look forward to - a way to exercise my brain and stimulate my senses. 

I hope you find some resonance and comfort here. Light a candle, move your body, sit in stillness... or, perhaps take a wander through the mossy, fallen leaves in search of fungi. This is the time of year my family and I journey through the Koots and visit our favourite forest spots to forage nature's treats before the frost takes over. Then - hibernation mode sets in.

The winter weather hit Alberta hard this weekend and so a very difficult decision was made to not risk the 2 hour drive on the deadly highway 2 (IYKYK). I told J9 I would still record a mix in lieu though I was really excited to feed off the energy in the house during this set. I love a good house party for that reason! So imagine yourself in the dopest house with the vibiest people, emerced in the frequencies. I covered a lot of grenres in this set to keep it fun and interesting <3

J9'S Peace Out Party 2024

I had the honor of opening the second stage at Glitter & Glow Festival this NYE in Red Deer, AB and was asked to play an intimate, vibey, deep, dark melodic set. The venue was transformed into a 2 stage festival with all kinds of activities and eye candy, with some stellar vibes. I hope I get the chance to do that again 💜 cheers to 2025.

Deep Down Inside

Alright. I'd be lying if I said mixing this kind of music wasn't challenging, but the feeling when 2 "unmatched" tracks end up making magic together, or flow lyrically, is the reason I love mixing music. Making this mix brought out vulnerability and curiosity. 

This has been subcontiously curated for me and my journey that tells the story of what has brought me to now. I am so lucky to have experienced so much life, but it also brought a lot of pain. Music was my muse, my comfort and my language when I could not find the words. I spent a lot of time on top of a mountain range with my hoola hoop. Moving my body to keep me from going stagnant, while I tried to figure everything out. And now here I am - I found my paradise. I am enough <3

Floating In the Deep End

This is my set from the To Infinity & Beyond - Futuristic Disco 420 event I played in Edmonton AB that The Get Down crew put on. I wanted to play some old school house grooves along with some spacy bass tracks that I have known for years. I had a blast watching so many killer dancers get their groove on too. Everyone was riding the same vibe in that place which made it easy to get into the flow. So grateful for events like this!

Here's an uplifting, experimental jam to set your summer vibes into motion. I think May and June are my most favorite months of the year. I used to spend them waiting for summer to be here, instead of enjoying the beauty that already exists - the best parts without all of the extremes. Late Night Wompin' at the Doll House - The Womp 2025

Playing at Paradise Music Festival in the Yukon did not fall short of what I had envisioned it to be. I had the honor of playing 7pm Friday evening just as everyone had freshly arrived. I put this set together with the intention of warming up the dance floor while being the soundtrack to everyone coming back together to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of this beautiful festival.

Journey to Paradise - Paradise Music Festival 2025

Wicked Woods Music Festival is such a special place. I can not express the gratitude I have for being invited to play, and return for another year. Drum & Bass is therapy for me, so closing out festival season with a dnb set truly made so much sense, and fulfilled me in a way I don't know if anything else quite could. The weekend as a whole conspired the most beautiful connections with everyone I had hoped to see and more. 

The organic nature of my growth as a DJ continues to prove myself, to myself. I feel that little level up in self confidence every time I take the stage and it is both gratifying and humblin - because I am just an ordinary person, trying to do extraordinary things. My intentions are to spread emotion, help you experience feelings and hold space for you to let it all out on the dance floor. It is a complete honor to take the wheel and steer the ship for that hour in time and I just really thank you all for being a part of that, in one way or another. 

The support within the community is something else as well. I can feel it strongly in every festival I get involved with and it is important to me to carry that forward and reciprocate in whatever way I can. I am so grateful for the people that see something in me and give me the chance to do my thing. 

This set, like all of my sets, is a piece of me. From my heart. From my soul. Music speaks through me in a subconscious way that I learn more about myself and the place I am in at the time. It is beautiful memoir to document a very special moment in time, with very beautiful people involved. I see your faces in that crowd. I see your smiles, your tears, your signs, your totems, your love for those around you. It is just the most beautiful thing. So recording and sharing is the least I can do, to show my appreciation for you out there. Even if you weren't in the crowd - I know you're listening, and it means something to me. ✨️

It's that time of year again.. you know the drill. We have the urge to shift gears and our natural response to the change of the season is to slow. things. down. 

However - the hustle of the world and the society that we are supposed to associate with would like everything to happen all at once, and even add some more.

So, we are left in this place of being pulled in both directions, and it can really mess with our mental health. You would think by now we'd have it all figured out and have mastered the art of busy and slow simultaneously.. but nah, we don't. 

The only thing that can help me slow down in this spead up world? 

MUSEic. 

This is a letter that I write to you & I for when we are in those moments that feel like they are spiraling out of control. When we feel like everything is working against us. Let this be the fluid that helps us go with flow and remind us that everything is going to be alright.

A Tall Glass Of Mellownade Pt. 2

I recorded and uploaded this several weeks ago, with zero intentions of making public. I came across it this morning and though the arrangement is not exactly the way I would do things intentionally, I enjoythe playfulness of it. I imagine myself floating through the fresh pow on a mountain top - a place I used to spend a lot of my time. Sharing for those that find joy in the music <3

First Snow

Here is my set from Goblins & Glow Halloween event in Red Deer, AB 12:30 - 2am.

This set has caused quite the commotion between practicing and playing live. Nearly lit my 20 year old sub on fire at home, and blew the power 3 times at the show.. too much energy!? I guess so!

So I feel I owe it to the people and myself an upload of this set I worked so hard on. This recording is a practice recording as I am unable to re record any time soon. The last half hour was an extended set with a lower BPM and a little more of a chill vibe to assist with the teardown and send people on their way.

Goblins & Glow '25

I've been compiling tracks of artists who have remixed some of the classics, for quite some time now, with the intent to make a unique mix. It has been pretty challenging, but these tracks bring me right back to the beginning of learning the mass amount of power music holds within us. Movement. Emotion. Compassion.. Music never ceases to allow us to let go and give in to the waves of sound. So, I felt the need to put this out there, once and for all. I dedicate this to the old at soul and to those who do not fear the feeling of surrender.

Going Deeper

A little something for everyone <3 
 

Filled with gratitude and a fierce spirit, this lady thrives on the deep basslines and floaty melodies. Music for Luna has always been a mood. An ever evolving, revolving cycle through different phases in life. Luna Deep was born from this. 

She has been selecting tunes for well over a decade, but beyond that - she studied performance art and dance for most of her life. With this - she guides the dance floor through waves of deep frequencies and radiant energy - weaving sound as ceremony. Her sets are an alchemy of melodic bass, soulful rhythm, and emotional depth, inviting listeners into a state of embodied awakening. 

Holding it down in Red Deer, AB with the local Glitter & Glow Festival events, she spreads her wings for Paradise Music Festival, The Womp & Wicked Woods -  bringing a different yet familiar energy to each performance.
