01 Wonderful Tonight

Fred Knapp is a drummer, bandleader, and teacher from Grand Rapids, MI.  Since graduating from 
the Western Michigan University School of Music in 2003, Fred has focused on playing jazz but has
found the joys of playing a diverse range of music.  He performs throughout Michigan with his trio, 
The Fred Knapp Trio, which has recorded Five studio albums, the last released in 2011 is up for a 
WYCE Jammie Award.  Fred also performs with Jammie Award winning groups Groove Merchant and 
Evidence,  The Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra, The John Shea Trio, and Indie Singer/Songwriter group
the Sails.
