Mind Over Midi, also known as Helge Tømmervåg from Kristiansund, has anchored and sadly recently passed away. Norway's finest in Ambient & Dub Techno for several decades. It's probably only Biosphere apart. A giant in norwegian Electronica.
Soundscapes inspired by nature, science and cosmology
The metaphysical aspect of Helge's work was particularly attractive to me and it was a great way to get to know him a bit. Similar approach to minimalism and realism are also characterized by i.a
Moritz Von Oswald, Mark Ernestus, A. Tarkovsky and Ingmar Bergman. There is a silence and behind the silence several portals opening new universes.
Like meditative listening.
MOM had 60-70 terrific releases on Beatservice, Silent Season, Lontano Series/ROHS!, Shimmering Moods, Rites and his own Berserk Fabrik.
Helge has immortalized himself and will be celebrated for eternity
