Addiction

Freddie and Ben met in 2019 on Turbo Island on a night out in Bristol and just knew they should be making music together. Then Jack and Charlie joined on bass and drums to make a band with a great mix of influences from jazz to folk. Fans can expect high energy rollercoaster ride gigs full of punk, psychadelic, surf, and good old classic rock, with the vocal swagger of Iggy Pop, the atmospheric melodies of Tame Impala, and raw catchy riffs of Lez Zeppelin.

We started out playing gigs in the streets of Bristol at the end of summer 2020 to get ourselves out there and gained a loyal following this. We have since released our debut single Addiction in October 2021, which was huge for us after 2 years of playing together. The song address dark times of isolation and temptations in an endless lockdown which wreaked havoc with many of our lives. Fire on Turbo Island which soon followed, with a much brighter tone, is an ode to our beloved spot Turbo Island in the middle of Bristol where the band met. Both singles were released independently and recorded at our local studio Eastone Recordings, working with our good friend Calin Olari.

Our highlight so far has been our first ever headline show in December 2021 at Zed Alley in Bristol where we were overwhelmed by our fans support.
