Artist Series 02: Aural Imbalance

Andreas, who ventured into DJing back in 1995, started his musical journey crafting mix tapes and spinning drum and bass in Philadelphia's underground rave scene. 

Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno, and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. 

After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of electro, techno, and drum and bass, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing, and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys.

Info: Jive Circuit is the creative partnership of two Berlin-based artists whose music blurs the boundaries between electro, funk, and Detroit house. However, both draw inspiration from outside of club music, striking a balance between track and song.

Henry, known for his work as Henry3000, and Phyzikal Flex, runs the label Doom Chakra Tapes and has released on esteemed imprints like Warning, Oiwa Records and Magic Carpet. Vincent, releasing as DJ Death and Han Duo, has been featured on Doom Chakra Tapes, LAP Records, and his own label Enbeezee.

Together, Jive Circuit combines diverse influences and experimental energy to craft tracks that are as grounded as they are forward-thinking. Their work leans on contrast—space, weight, repetition.

Here we are - the third and final chapter of the joint compilation between Tracklistings and Division Virtuel Records is out now!

After two powerful volumes that sparked great feedback and brought together a vibrant community of electro lovers, this last part closes the circle with another sharp and eclectic selection of tracks.

This final volume is the culmination of a project that started months ago with a simple idea:  highlight a wide spectrum of contemporary electro. 

Once again, the selection features artists from various backgrounds, styles and energies, all signed by the same conviction and a love for electro.

Huge thanks to everyone who submitted tracks, shared the releases, or supported the project along the way.
We’re proud to wrap this compilation on a high note, and grateful to have shared this journey with all of you.

dism4nic is an emerging DJ and artist based in Ruhr area, Germany.

The foundation for her passion for electronic music was laid over a decade ago in the southern German drum & bass scene. She has been deeply committed to the underground sound since day one.

In her work as a DJ, dism4nic places a strong emphasis on bass with modern and oldschool elements; influenced by a variety of genres, including drum & bass, jungle, electro, and Miami bass.

Her ability to blend various auditory narratives creates a sound based on fast, syncopated rhythms and atmospheric textures, while relying on simple, classical mixing techniques.
Energetic, surprising, gentle - melancholic at times.
