Finding the words to summarize my experience at Shambhala Music Festival is always a challenge. This year was truly a special one. Despite the inevitable challenges, the unwavering support from my incredible friends and farmily makes this all possible year after year.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for being there with me during the opening of the Fractal Forest. It's an honor and a humbling experience to celebrate that moment together.  Attending my first Shambhala in 2003, I could never have imagined that I'd end up here. Sharing my music with you all has been an incredible opportunity, and I am forever grateful for this amazing journey.
A massive thank you to Rich-E-Rich and Team Fractal family for all their hard work in creating this magical experience.

Hey Friends! I have something to share with you today. I created a mix for my girlfriend Christina a few weeks ago and she has asked me to share it with all of you. Seeing as today is our two year anniversary, I figured it would be the most appropriate day to do so. This was my way of saying thanks for everything that she has done and helped me through. Hey Shambhala friends! I wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone who made this happen. To all of you on the dancefloor or tuning in at home, to my team behind this project and mostly to Team Fractal and Rich-E-Rich for the amazing opportunity to open such a stage. Extra thanks to Inspire and Mc Equality for joining me on stage. What a rush! 2017 was a special year for many reasons.  One of my best friends Jon proposed to his girlfriend April up on stage at the end.  They fell in love in the Fractal many years ago. I’m blessed to be a part of that magic moment.  Huge congratulations to Mark and his wife Stephanie for tying the knot during the beginning part of the set on the dance floor. I wish you all the best in the future. Since his beginnings in 2001, Freddy J has been on a focused mission of constant development, moulding a unique style that is sure to deliver dancefloor mayhem. With twenty years as a leader of the scene, he has cemented himself as one of Canada’s premiere DJ’s.  
He never fails to bring the best bass-driven party funk possible, with a style that can be described as electro meets funky, dirty, whompy, groovy, bassline. Having headlined at a multitude of club and festival events, the experience Freddy J brings to the tables shines through and gets people moving on the dancefloor. 
2024 saw Freddy J open the Fractal Forest as part of his 14th appearance at Shambhala Music Festival, and once again he showed why he keeps getting invited back year after year... this is definitely one DJ you won’t want to miss!
