This is a track created by myself and the campers of Arts in the Woods. These LGBTQ youth came together to create visual art, theater, musc and dance. As the music facilitator, I helped them create an original song. Martin Swinger gave me the words "All we need is a safe place. To learn, to grow to love to know, a safe place". Feathers and I wrote a melody and music arrangment for it, then we had the young people write thier own parts. We did some vocal improvisation that resulted in recording beat box sounds, yells, and mouth parts, then they wrote lyrics. Some of them rapped, some sang, but they all expressed thier unique personality. I am so proud of all of them and what we created together. It is an exuberant audio snap shot of the community we created !

Miracles Are Seen In The Light

A track from my upcoming album. The lyrics are not about anyone in particular, but rather to all of my friends past present and future who have difficulties and hardships (and myself). I wanted to sing, just really SING, to do something that was about harmony, with simple chord changes and a simple sentiment. I wrote and recorded this in one day and I think its ready. The music is a few simple little ethereal pads and sounds that lifts the vocals on a cloud.
