@yuyuclubmexico x Infinite Machine V/A is a collaboration whose result is a compilation of 14 tracks designed for the dance floor; solid, functional and esoteric. This is a selection of tracks produced by Mexican artists involved in the Club movement from different cities in Mexico, all of them with a conceptual and geographical separation, but with common features that synthesize the essence of the national scene.

Definitive proof of the maturity of the Club scene in Mexico, this compilation is born as an initiative by the most important venue in the capital of Mexico: Yu Yu, which joins forces with the pioneering label Infinite Machine to curate this compilation. An avant-garde ensamble of projects which aims to exhibit a shared imagination through the unification of different styles and music genres. All of this comes from the perspective of Yu Yu's resident, Mexico City-based label, Infinite Machine. A label that has a direct correlation with the global club scene.

This effort also has the goal to financially support the artists involved due to the delicate situation we are going through. As they are part of Yu Yu's community, which is unfortunately closed at the moment. Artists involved from the likes of Nico, AAAA, Microhm with worldwide recognition to up and coming artists like Benfika, OMAAR, CNDSD and the current, most fresh national acts like Loris, KOI and El Irreal Veintiuno. Among other key pieces of national electronics, united in this soundscape of volatile frequencies.

Luar Domatrix (Rudi Brito) is perhaps more recognizable as half of the artsy-duo Yong Yong that emerged in 2012. After a long season spent in Glasgow, and with editions by Naivety (Naive’s sublabel of Inês Coutinho aka Violet) , Sucata Tapes (Discrepant) and with a track inserted in a VA from 12th Isle, comes back to Lisbon (his hometown) clearly soaked by the sounds of the Scottish industrial center.

Ziyiz - The Fear Of Mediated Grief

In 2016, Wataru Kobayashi, known as @loopdrive, recorded the album "forged sketches", howerver, it was not officially released. Two years later, outlines released "Groove 9" – the debut cassette of the Japanese producer. It maintained the sounding of "forged sketches", keeping in touch with the tradition of Berlin labels such as basic channel and chain reaction. In 2020, as guides (outlines’sublabel) was founded, the opportunity has arrived to properly present to the audience the loopdrive’s musical evolution as well as the beginnings of Wataru Kobayashi's artistic path. 

"Forged sketches" is an album that combines dub-ridden Detroit techno sounds with the latest child of Chicago ghetto house - footwork. It is as if monochromatic chords and a minimalist pulse were mounted on a speeding footwork motorics. This resembles the achievements of Paul Rose, a British producer known as Scuba, in his albums "A Mutual Antipathy" and "Triangulation", which featured over a decade ago a visionary fusion of dubsetp and dub techno. 

loopdrive took on a similar path. His productions explore the land between fast, broken techno and the footwork rhythm. One of the most exhilirating moments in "forged sketches" is a nearly fifteen-minute long melodic suite running at 160bpm. Since "forged sketches" (2016) there have not been any footwork-inspired producers that would create such a non-obvious and original hybrid as loopdrive.

Twin System invited Morwell on to their show for two hours of experimental club sounds from the likes of El Blanco Nino, Om Unit and Twin System member Lewi Boome. Techno, Foortwork and leftfield bass inbound over the full two hours.
