GEORGIA’s new kaleidoscopic hyper-music-entity “State Effect (Accel)” expands the LA-NY duo’s project in a high-dimensional phase space—and does so within their all-kind-music frame.


State Effect (Accel) is happening this very moment, it is a positive cry for change—a brilliant plan.

This record is “viscous” — whatever I do, wherever I am, it sort of “sticks” to me.

It is “nonlocal” — its ‘accelerated’ effects are globally distributed through a huge tract of time. It forces me to experience time in an unusual way.

It is “phased” — I only experience pieces of it at any one time.

It is “inter-objective” — it consists of all kinds of other/multiple entities but it is not reducible to the sum of its parts.

This music reveals the present and its psychic dimension, no titles could have been more relevant.

En esta ocasión se trata de Lizett Montiel, artista, Dj y productora fronteriza nacida entre Nuevo Laredo (MX) y Texas (EU) que bajo el alias de @rizu-x llevado a posicionarla en la esfera de la música electrónica global y nacional. Sus meticulosas producciones cargadas de sonidos distópicos fundando un mundo imaginario, donde las melodías crean texturas inquietantes que pasan de la melancolía a la euforia, elaboradas percusiones e interminables líneas de bajo evocando al techno y al club latino. Sus producciones han sido lanzadas en labels como CVJV NEGRV RECORDS y Cómeme sello albergado en Alemania, su último EP Myokymia vía Gone Baby nos deja claro la evolución y el arduo trabajo de la productora.
Dejando huella en NTS Radio y Rinse FM Rizu X nos conduce como selectora de microuniversos electrónicos plagados de cadencia y mucha energía que podemos apreciar en estos 50 min. que ejecutó en exclusiva para Trasnoche.

SUKUBRATZ is an audio-visual, multimedia artist and DJ based in Rotterdam [NL]. Born and raised in Italy SUKUBRATZ never felt heard which is what made her move to the Bristol UK during her teenage years and later moving to Rotterdam. Her constant sense of displacement is a recurring topic in both her art and musical act, embracing deconstructed , fluxwork, reggaeton beats, rave and post Latin club sounds.

As detailed in his interview with German publication Froh Froh, “the interview with Narciss was different. Colorful Hawaiian shirt instead of matt black, nicotine chewing gum instead of butt. In terms of content between kitsch, cutie, but also serious - no intrusive promo.”

This freshness truly comes across in his latest EP for Lobster Theremin. Dear Diary - releasing on June 4th - is an emotionally charged journey through smoked-filled rooms and packed-out corridors; lasers, strobes and wide eyes. As much a throwback to the golden era of trance as it is an ode to the producers techno aesthetic, it encapsulates an energy release - an escape from the grimness of the mundane, the fear of contemporary society left at the door as we venture further front left.

‘Ludmilla’ gets things started; a cut of tranced-out, progressive techno that builds and builds, emotional vocal stabs (“I need you”) further enhancing the connection between body and mind, listener and selector. ‘Tall People’ follows a similar route - deeper into the trance revival that has seen artists like Bliss Inc, New Members and Marlon Hoffstad producing some timelessly similar euphoria - it’s scenic techno, if the scene was an anime figure racing across a field on horseback.

The steady 4x4 rhythms are replaced on ‘It Gets Easier’; fast-paced sentiment that floats somewhere between breaks and garage, wrapped up in that signature trancey texture, before 'Blicke' featuring Ikki Mel shows us the door with a completely different take on the previous three moods; this time offering up an altogether harder showcasing of the rave sound with its classic synth stabs and uncompromising kicks.
