I believe in the assets of my community. Feelings of doubt are very real and abundant. Understanding and valuing my contributions and the contributions of my community has been incredibly empowering and peaceful. I wrote contributor syndrome after realizing that thinking about my doubts without addressing them does more harm than good. Some things can be addressed and let go, other things pester and become more real as they manifest in your mind. Please enjoy this rough draft of contributor syndrome and consider using it to combat your feelings of being an imposter. You are the only you. You have value. You contribute to a beautiful community of people.

1. Reintroducing, contributor syndrome, 
2. My people genius and we been strong, I’ll vent on. 
3. # All the games they play to work your mind wrong, 
4. # But all this busy work done made my back strong, 
5. Fam don’t you go there if you ain’t leading it, 
6. Be weary of people born into leadership, 
7. I’m a king but of my own domain, 
8. Work for the people I don’t want no change, (Focus be talking crazy)
9. No I’m not perfect I be living life, 
10. You gon end up doing circles only living right,
11. Truthfully yo boss probably unqualified, 
12. Until you free yourself you better learn to shuck and jive, 
13. Try to do it dolo if you want to, 
14. You gon end up working harder than you supposed to, 
15. The truth is your fam right there, 
16. And I ain’t super but this Black Man will engineer, 


I know that I can do it but I think I can’t,

4. I’m putting lessons on the net for kids stuck at home,

8. # But its better than me moving them biscuits, 
9. They don’t administer they administrate, 
10. They said Freddy couldn’t write but I don’t lose debates,

12. The last thing that he taught me is that they gotta pay, 
13. Won’t let myself self sabotage, 
14. Ma aching from my losses, I show her montage, 
15. I put my hand on my pain and massage, 
16. Tote my peace in broad day no camouflage
