The sax player, Andreas Bøttiger and I met with this rhythm group from Benin for the first time 5 hours prior to our concert. (Manu Falla: Bass, Josaphat Hounnuo: drums and Lekan Fakeye: percussion). We rehearsed 4 of my tunes in the afternoon and did a small concert at the music library in Odense on nov. 17th. 2014.

Live at Fairbar in Aarhus, Denmark november 2010. Written while I was being alone in a small summerhouse in jutland in '08. I had perfect view at the north sea and the wheather was very rainy and rough at times! Luckily I had the small, cosy house to be in. 
Fairbar was a bit crowded that evening..

Maj Regn -live Sep. 25th 2016

Andreas Bøttiger -tenorsax, Frederik Christiansen -acoustic guitar. We´re just fooling around with a traditional, danish harvest melody written sometime before 1868, when the lyrics were added by Mads Hansen. It's about the farmers celebrating the harvest is complete, and all their grain is in the barns. :)

Marken er mejet

The title is the username of some norwegian online gamer I played with. I thought that it was a funny and interesting name for a tune. (I have been permitted to steal it ;) It happens to be three russian words put together, and it means something like this: "All beginnings are difficult" or "Well begun is half done". I wasn't quite aware of that, until after the tune was complete. 
- I've also had the memories of two summer trips to the norwegian city Trondheim in mind, while composing the tune. Especially one retina image from Trondheim remains strong in my memory; I was sitting on top of some old castle ruin on a hill, in the quiet, bright summer night, watching the city asleep. 

Lihabedanacalo (Demo).

A little theme about some summertrips to Tours in France, when I was a kid. We camped nearby two small, green bridges crossing a river. I'd like to leave the camp and go for a walk over these bridges whenever I could, to glance at bikes at a motorcycle dealership. :-)

Hi, and thank you for visiting my SoundCloud page. I'm a danish guitarist and composer.  I wrote my first music at age 15 and has done that on and off since. In 2006 I entered "The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Southern Denmark" and graduated in june 2012. Since 2009 I have been composing new tunes regularly. I'll mostly use this site to share demo's, work-in-progress material, random live recordings etc. So stay tuned! :)
