And Then There Were Three

This past December I was playing my flute into the early Sunday morning hours just before our first real snow of the winter began here in Ashburn, Virginia. 
 
As it started to snow I played back my improvisation and realized it seemed to be a nice introduction to the scene outside: light, dry flakes falling through the still air just before dawn.  It felt natural to call this one "Before the Snow."

13 April 2015 - They seem to be a bit late this year.  It was a tough winter.  Other spring activities are in full swing -- cherry blossoms, kids at play.  You can hear happy voices and birdsong down below my open window.
