Having recently reached Beatport number one with ‘Urban Shaker’, Manchester-based DJ/producer Sam Curran readies three new productions for Jamie Jones’ renowned Hottrax this April. Gaining previous support from Jamie Jones, Sidney Charles, and Franky Rizardo, Curran is back with another bass-heavy production that ensures an impressive return to the label. 

The title cut ‘Twilight On The Terrace’ brings rolling low end and playful vocal interjections that create a rousing club track, while the bumping ‘Eric’s Rumble’ showcases a reverberating bassline in true Hottrax style, paired with dizzying drops and wonky stabs. Closing out the EP ‘NRG’ harnesses crisp hats, snaking bass grooves, and moody, infectious samples to journey deep into late-night territories. 

“I made this EP in the hope of replicating some of the feelings I’ve felt on the dance floor with my own twist. The title track especially is inspired by the early 90s acid scene and the euphoric moments that came with it.” - Sam Curran

@viomusik is back after a few months since his ‘Lost Mary’ remix, and is coming through with a slammer of an edit!

This edit perfectly captures the Dominican feel of the original and combines it with a driving bassline and tight percussion to provide a serious groove.

Hot on the heels of the first one, RUZE is back with their second single from their new album Journey on PIV Records. 

Prunk, the head of PIV label, recognised the potential of this duo early on, naming them as promising talents to watch in 2023 and so far they have come good on that. They have picked up support from industry titans across the circuit, are top-selling Beatport artists in the Minimal Deep Tech genre and now have a superb album lined up and ready to go this summer. 

The fantastic 'Trip' is a steamy house cut with nice punchy drums and sultry vocal hooks layered in. The synths are bright and jazzy motifs add further flair to this most lively of house cuts.

Born and raised in Chichester, West Sussex, Fred Symonds is an artist on an impressive trajectory. Like many, Fred’s journey into clubland began in his mid-teens and has frequently flourished over the last decade. Since his first show in 2013, Fred has continued to make strides - as he continues to garner the attention of labels and bookers around the UK and further afield. 

Introduced to house music by his parents from a young age, Fred has always had his sights on being a DJ/Producer and playing to the masses. Inspired by Deeper Purpose, Max Chapman, Luuk Van Dijk, Nightfunk, Dimmish and many more, Fred’s sonic signature comprises robust rolling basslines, bumpy beats and captivating vocals, emphasising groove and energy. 

A frequent fixture on the south coast of England and far beyond, Fred is no stranger to clubland whatsoever. Some of his most notable bookings to date include The Arch (Brighton), Lightbox (London), Ministry of Sound (London), Panama (Amsterdam) and Itaca (Ibiza), as well as The Astoria (Portsmouth) and Phi Phi (Thailand) where he has held residencies. 

Away from the dancefloor, Fred’s relentless work in the studio has seen his catalogue of releases constantly expand. Already signed to FREAK Records, Happy Techno Music, Odd Realm Records, Lit Music and Toasty Beats, his work has received continuous support from Will Taylor, Deeper Purpose, Alex Bowen, Lexlay, Lance Morgan and many more. To add to label releases, his free download series on SoundCloud continues to garner the attention of listeners and artists alike.

Having already played alongside some of the industry’s most respected names including Latmun, Richy Ahmed, Hot Since 82, Cloonee, Will Taylor, Mark Knight and Leftwing:Kody, Fred is ready and primed to put his foot back on the gas with more releases and bookings that will see him excel into 2021 and beyond.
