Welcome back to All About Audience, dissecting how creatives in the digital media world cater to the audience they are producing content for.  I’m your host Fred Vigeant.

Dr. Fred Waters is today’s guest. Fred discusses how he likes to help people; he has trained a lot of individuals and enjoys doing it. He trains self-defense and how people can protect themselves. Then, the pandemic happened, and we learn what he needed to do to continue to share his knowledge on self-defense, helping children exercise, all while staying safe and socially distanced.  

Dr. Fred Waters, began studying Martial Arts in 1973 in Steelton Pa. He is an Army Veteran; has studied Judo, Tae Kwon Do and Chinese boxing. Using his expertise from all this training, he began teaching self-defense.

Will new regulations announced this week by the Environmental Protection Agency result in cleaner air and fewer greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change?  There certainly will be some debate about that, but the more significant argument will be whether the rules designed to cut carbon emissions at power plants will cost jobs and weaken the economy. 

After the Obama Administration proposed the new rules, Gov. Tom Corbett reiterated his opposition saying power plants that burn coal could be shutdown costing jobs at the plants and in the coal industry.

What impact would the regulations have on Pennsylvania?
State Impact Pennsylvania reporter Katie Colaneri talked to several people and appears on Smart Talk Friday to explain what she found.

The EPA regulations have political ramifications across the country.  Even some Democrats in coal-producing states are upset.  The Political Junkie Ken Rudin describes that aspect.
