The first track of the EP 'Redemption' begins with a classic remarkable oldschool drumbeat and a rolling bassline before some really heart-warming orchestral strings come in and the whole track transforms into a dancefloor symphony with lovely harmonies.

'Get the fuck' also begins with a characteristic bassline and this time dub chords in the background – a vocal soon comes in and driving drums guide you straight to the dancefloor. The whole atmosphere is rather dark and atmospheric and at the same time pushing forward.

The second in @Swing-Republic's series of EPs featuring brand new material that will build towards their fourth full studio album due later in 2018.

LONG LEGS is the title of both the lead track and the EP itself. It’s the standard bearer for another collection of 4 expertly crafted songs inspired, as before, by the sounds of vintage jazz, swing, funk and soul but given a contemporary spin by subject matter and/or production. LONG LEGS again boasts the vocals and lyrics of long time collaborator, Danish jazz singer Karina Kappel and comes complete with a film noir video shot in a seedy Brighton hotel! The other tracks feature classic vintage samples and performances including The Boswell Sisters on LET YOURSELF GO.

The EP is out now.

SWING REPUBLIC was born as the side project of a platinum selling Danish songwriter and producer, Per Ebdrup. In love with the sound of swing, Per remixed old and obscure vintage gems in his spare time off as composer to hire.
These tracks would eventually be brought together in ELECTRO SWING REPUBLIC (2011) that was one of the first complete electro swing albums ever released. The second album MIDNIGHT CALLING (2013) saw the introduction of vocalist Karina Kappel and featured the massively popular CRAZY IN LOVE version that has notched up well over 4 million plays on Spotify alone and even higher numbers on YouTube.
