the shareholders hunger more investment
the customers are queueing/ pockets stuffed with capital
… stuffed like stuffed animals
so much stuff and still the punters want more
hoarders crawling through tunnels to their front doors
little ants in the farm carting things to stack
theres busy hands, there's parcels being packed
with everything under the sun/ you'd run out of numbers if counting
- the number of things, the sum is astounding
even times price tagged a set worth
so we eat, sleep, do our thing but mostly just work
for tender to spend on stuff, the perfect circle of events
-like human purpose & intent was surplussing objects
the merchants, the workers and the patrons
the pharmasuits, their Guinea pigs the surgeons and their patients
the product & its placement, the
production line and all components in its making, firms proposing patents
the workers grow impatient, counting stacks of stock
the board meetings add up profits & tally loss
the masses raid their piggy banks to carry to the shops
all in the aim of amassing what

in fast watching thoughts like bugs in the dark
butterflies dance in a stomach shrunken in half
now the centre of the universe, the will of god
but too weak to act on through these woozy dizzy spots
visions of shops packed with consumables
beautiful, dilating pupils all teary
hunched over a tummy eating itself
glee at the 2 lone green peas in the freezer shelf
to good health but hell it sure can put you in a shtum mood
& don’t play doom, mm… food its rude man

This song was written, produced and recorded the evening of the day we were supposed to be exporting the masters of our LP... They're still stuck on LSA's old PC, which blue screens a little while after booting up. Luckily we backed it all up, but need to get his machine fixed as he uses 32bit, Windows-only VST's, incompatible with my laptop (which Blue Screen was prod/rec'd on)...
