Empirikal aka Nimrod Gorovich and Dekel Kamiosky, are one of the most promising duos that
modern intelligent PsyTrance has to offer. Formed in 2013, Empirikal are mixing new-wave with
progressive and uplifting PsyTrance into their own unique and groundbreaking sound and style.
Growing up together at a small village in the northern part of Israel, Nimrod and Dekel found their
enjoyment in creating music together. Influenced by artists like Simon Posford, LOUD, Infected
Mushroom, Psysex and Mamady Keïta, this creative duo are composing their inspiration from
authentic tribal beats, psychedelic experiences and nature into every melody and sound. Nimrod's
background as a composer and musician, combined with Dekel's background as a DJ, creates a rich
and alternative musical style that gets emphasised perfectly whenever its played in PsyTrance dance
floors.
With a blasting debut track, “Dark Angel”, released on TIP Records, followed by promising follow
ups, the duo drew Immediate world wide attention. Keeping the high road to expand Empirikal
awareness in the PsyTrance scene, their unique character and alternative musical style got the
attention of HOMmega, who quickly drafted them to their roster, side by side with Infected
Mushroom, Astrix, Juno Reactor and more.

Luckily, in most cases, we had the privilege of working with what we call "True artists"; those who come with full creative concept and vision - musically and visually.

"The Ever Present Silent Observer" is a collaboration with the Aussie musician Peter Haze AKA TETRAMETH. The track was started in Byron Bay and we wrapped it up in Tel Aviv. It has one of the funkiest bass-lines I ever recorded. Pete recorded a pick scratching the guitar strings, tribal drum-breaks and brought us the genius sample alongside with some dark atmosphere pads. I remember actually sampling their bathroom trash can as a gong hit at some point :) It was a pleasure creating and an adventure collaborating with Pete for the 2nd time.

Sun finds the jungle like needle on wax / Slowly it creeps until finally...SPLASH
With bright beams of sunshine, birds start to sing / The forest awakens, a new day begins!
Below tramples Crocodile, Dino at side / The kaleidoscope leaves casting prisms of light
They push on ahead, for they mustn’t be late / A brand new adventure simply can’t wait

But sometimes adventures can lead to strange places/ Sun disappears, and the weirdest of faces/
Loom from the shadows, a darkness within/ A twist in your tummy, the walls closing in/
Our two brave explorers, with widening eyes/ See the jungle hiss back, a thousand red eyes

But wait –

From the shadows, a cold silver tear/ A spaceship abandoned by lost pioneers
The friends know at once that they must get inside/ They yank and they crank till the door opens wide
But how does it work? Can it get to the sky?/ The answer is here – a button says ‘FLY’
They strap themselves in as the instruments ping/ The spaceship unfolding its silvery wings
They look at each other, all engines a-hum / Time becomes lightyears, adventure begun!
