1042 - Mind State (Liquid DnB Mix)

This was a fun Twitch sesh with the LLL chat crew. My boy @metapattern raided in early on after his epic first stream from his newly set up home studio. I eased into things with some deep and melodic jazzy lead-in tunes before moving on to some energetic and rolling feelgood fare. Dipped down to a darker vibe for some machine soul at the end of the first hour. Brought the energy up in the 2nd hour for a bit of a rolling  tech party vibe before dropping back down into soulful territory at the end. Overall I was pleased with the arc of the set; might have flubbed a couple of mixes where the energy didn't quite match from track to track, but perhaps I'm being too self-critical(as always). I really enjoyed my time on the stream. Big up to the homies coming thru with all the bits and channel subs. Your continued support def keeps me engaged. S/O to the new followers, hope to see you back next week!

MACHINE GIRL CLUE WEAR MIX

We're all on the dance floor. All we've been thinking for hours is elation and briefly "track ID?" That doesn't matter though. You look up as light peeks through bushes, birds chirp and music continues to play, a stark contrast to an otherwise still and placid morning. Echoing this contrast, dancers move with intention that is simultaneously languid and energised. They've been going for a while but show no signs of stopping. Maybe its something in the air, maybe its that friend who retrieved a tray of long blacks or maybe its something a little more funky. Regardless @cruelnoon are at the helm of this particular vibe on Shell Tape 29.

Side winding through left-field techno, twisted disco permutations, pop with a hardcore rave edge and braindance bass music, the Perth production duo's joyful romp covers all corners of the dance music map - both sonically and geographical. 

Blends and arrangements that on paper seem like a high speed u-turn are executed with steeze and flair, keeping listeners and dancers hanging out for the next eclectic selection that's sure to breathe new life into whatever setting you're in. This one isn't for the heads - it's one for all the dancers and impossible to not enjoy. Keep your ears open and eyes on the prize, endless rewards await.
