KT073 - Four Candles Live @ Sub Club, Glasgow [Bedrock]

Behold, a recreation of part of my set from Joshua Brooks in Manchester when I supported the mighty Cristoph on December 2nd 2023, along with Nick Coulson and Mark McMahon who both played before me.

I was overjoyed and grateful to be given the slot handing over to Cristoph, but even more overjoyed to see him enjoying my set and then ask me if I'd like to play B2B with him for the last 20 minutes before handing over to him. It just went beautifully and I will never forget it, or his kindness. 

Unfortunately, my Tascam recording device didn't record as it should have on the night and I'm so gutted about it. It would have included the crowd noise and atmosphere created by that amazing crowd, but this recreation is the next best thing.

*A couple of tracks are improvised towards the end as I don't know the names of the tracks Cristoph played during our B2B.

Hello and welcome to the Exclusive Series (with Subcode) Featuring the skills and talents of Dublin's unique trio of Electronic music artists, Fusion Underground.

Each month we highlight each of our DJ's Glenn Molloy/Gorgonoize, Soulfinder and Khankra, with a 2 hour set aired every 4th Thursday of the month.

For December and our final show of 2023, it is back to Soulfinder for yet another outstanding 2 hours, packed full of brand new music, special edits and hot ID's from the man himself.

Hailing from Dublin Ireland, Stephen Hogg has had a passion and a love for electronic music from a very young age. Inspired by artists such as Sasha, and other monoliths of progressive house music. Stephen knew it was his destiny to eventually follow in the footsteps of these musical masterminds and carve a niche of his own, as Soulfinder.

Naturally this form was something that his love and passion had evolved itself into, and Soulfinder quickly began to learn the ropes and make a lot of headway in a short time period. before long he had his very first release published on Outside The Box Music (owned and operated by Elke Kleijn). In 2009 he was voted best newcomer as his debut album Wasteland was voted album of the year on Swiss National Radio. That lead him to perform at the legendary Love Festival later the same year.

After many releases hitting the big numbers in various charts, by 2023 Stephen has seen his music released on BlackHole, Spring Tube, Soundteller amongst many other high quality marques.

Soulfinder, with Khankra & Gorgonoize now form Fusion Underground, between them earning many accolades and garnering countless individual and collective projects, in and around the local and international scene. Ste recently headlined two gigs in Belfast, to huge local admiration and fanfare.

Soulfinder has found recent success once more with tracks such as "Frankie" & "Snow Leopard" getting air time from spinners such as Anthony Pappa, Harry Lemon and many more. 2024 will see fresh impetus from him, and the rest of FU, looking forward to more exposure on Ireland's clubbing scene.

Hello Everyone, and welcome to Wednesday! You are in tune to the Il Modo Progcast, join us as we tour planet progressive for those exclusive beats ... and breaks! 

The name may have changed, but the quality and exclusivity that are hallmarks of our Progcast remain the same. In this our 200th episode, spanning over five years, we have secured the services of one of the electronic music scenes brightest and original acts, again! After gracing the decks for this series Second birthday over two years ago, they are back again to lift this newer and better one to higher heights. Framewerk have been long establishing an eclectic electronic style that defies genres yet maintains a deep distinctive atmosphere throughout all their music. With influences ranging from 70’s prog rock to 80’s electro, the duo both found a home in the UK acid house scene of the late 80’s and later joined together to form the group “Manhattan” during the mid-90’s progressive house era.
