“Isolation Seeker” marks the debut Perfect Dark release of the Austin,TX based label head and co-founder, Provider. Expect airy and atmospheric dub techno soundscapes that come in the form of 2 peak time techno tracks, and 2 genre bending explorations that create a well rounded package of artistic modern electronic music.

“Some find solace in slot canyons, expansive forests, and winding trails whose destination remains unknown. Others lose themselves amongst dancefloors in crowded rooms, where impeccably tuned sound systems serve to both isolate and unite listeners through rhythm. This EP was created to take the listener to both those places, and highlight the shared experience that exists between these two vastly different environments.”

A1. Isolation Seeker
A soundtrack to get lost to - organic synth melodies sit atop rolling drum breaks that are chopped and filtered into oblivion. Diving into a large natural body of water, driving into the hills of a forest from the valley floor. 

A2. Hexanes
A peak time dub techno workout - scientifically clear and sharp synth stabs bounce over a powerful chugging groove created by inseparable drums and sub bass. Filtering pollutants from a coastal breeze

B1 Air Pusher
An uplifting, sound design focused groove techno club tool - A breath of fresh air for listeners in the form of an undeniably groovy bassline, water like synth swells, and talking filters. Ascending mountain tops and soaking in the open sky. 

B2. Hesitance
A 9 minute ambient dub techno epic - a homage to basic channel’s “Radiance”. Blissful and comforting, a blanket of sound. Slowly falling asleep while thinking about the day’s adventures. A safe sonic refuge.

QEYS channels 90s hip-hop sampling style through a textural, and groove-heavy techno lens. Vocal chops, layered breaks, and gritty loops collide with hypnotic drum patterns to create something raw, rhythmic, and forward-looking.

This EP pulls from the golden era of techno and hip-hop — dusty acapellas, chopped breaks, and crate-dug textures, and reworks them into ultimate tools for any DJ set.

The opening track ‘drunk MC’ is nothing short of a bottle of champagne — playful, fizzy, juicy, and groove-drenched. It sets the tone with energy and flair, highlighting Ilya’s love for crafting dynamic structures through contrasting elements. The break-heavy, semi-electro beats and lush, all-encompassing pads in the breakdowns become even more impactful when juxtaposed with intentionally stripped-back, minimalist straight techno sequences with vocals chops.
