Matt' Radio Slave' Edwards and Joel Martin's critically acclaimed Quiet Village project follow-up, 2024's 'Reunion' with the Vanessa Daou collaboration, 'Naked Hunger' on September 5th, '25.

'Naked Hunger', which comes in 'Vocal Mix' and 'Spoken Word Mix' versions, sees Quiet Village employ their hypnotic sensibilities to one of house music's most tantalising vocal talents in Daou, resulting in a mid-tempo house cut that completely envelops.

While the vocal mix of 'Naked Hunger' leans into the interplay between Vanessa Daou's cosseting song voice and spoken vocals, with the rest of the track embracing a subtly dubby ethereal musicality, Quiet Village ramp up the instrumentation on the 'Spoken Vocal' version with bass guitar and piano flourishes accompanying her sultry poetic delivery.

'Naked Hunger', Daou's first collaboration with Quiet Village, marks her first release since 2019's 'Little Black Dress'.

Throughout her illustrious career, the acclaimed three-time #1 Billboard Dance Chart topper has collaborated with Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Mood II Swing, Ralphi Rosario, Terry Farley (Farley & Heller), Charles Webster, Horse Meat Disco's Severino Panzetta, Hifi Sean, and Eli Escobar.

Friends since meeting at Goldie's legendary MetalHeadz sessions at London's Blue Note in the '90s, Quiet Village, aka Matt Edwards and Joel Martin, began releasing their brand of dubbed-out, balearic-and-beyond tracks in 2005 via NYC's Whatever We Want Records. The duo's 2008 'Silent Movie' LP was a critical smash hit that resulted in remix commissions for the likes of Bryan Ferry, The Gorillas, Leftfield, Francois K, Massive Attack and many more.

After a few years in the wilderness, unable to use their nom de plume due to contractual restrictions, the pair launched The Quiet Village label in 2024 with 'Reunion', a stunning 6/8 time urban jazz odyssey, a favourite of the likes of Luke Una, Gilles Peterson and Ryan Elliott.

Basch is a Hamburg based DJ, producer, and core part of the Polycarp Records roster, over the years he’s carved out a reputation for deep, driving sounds that bridge the worlds of house, techno, ambient and experimental. As one half of the duo Bonn, alongside Simon Ferdinand, he’s delivered a series of acclaimed releases, blending atmospheric textures with raw, club- focused rhythms. His solo work as Basch and Jean-Crémant for Johannes Albert’s Frank Music has also garnered attention from media and DJ’s alike. His growing catalogue that reflects both innovation and versatility has earned him recognition across Europe’s underground and established his standing as a dynamic force within contemporary electronic music.
POLYCARP RECORDS : ‘’With Forever Jan Pt. 1, Hamburg / Berlin-based producer Basch opens the vault on two decades of music-making, bringing together six tracks written and recorded between 2005 and 2025. The material comes from a personal “lost and found” of nearly 50 sketches — fragments rediscovered on old hard drives, MP3s from long-gone sessions, and live recordings from makeshift setups. Each track carries its own history: a piece started on a cracked Reason 3 during a flight from Oslo; an early Hamburg live set held together by a synth demo that crashed every five minutes; a song revived from nothing but a low-bitrate MP3; and a 2005 video edit faithfully recreated, glitches and all. For this release, some arrangements were rebuilt, drums replayed on an 808, and soft synths replaced by analog gear. Mastering by Stefan Eichinger aka Lopazz ties the years together into a single, coherent listen — less a traditional album, more a snapshot scrapbook of 20 years in sound. Compiled by Simon Ferdinand. The release also comes as a strictly limited cassette edition, each tape individually hand-stamped and available only in small numbers. ‘It's been a few years since I've recorded something but was recently inspired by the hot summer we’ve had here in the UK to put something mellow, bright and beautiful together which I wanted to make into a bit of a journey. Expect hazy jazz, stoner soul, balearic bites, tear jerkin 45’s & international rhythms. Recorded on 100% vinyl from my listening collection for extra warmth!’

Jonna has been playing music with soul for the past 20 years, from the City Fly basement parties @ Sophbeck (RIP) in his hometown of Leicester, to the festival circuit in Croatia to the dark underground clubs of Berlin and as far as Tokyo. He has also supported the likes of Roy Ayres (RIP), Children of Zeus, Benji B, Underground Resistance & MCDE to name a few! 

Jonna has released notable music on Lumberjacks in Hell, BBE, Shadeleaf Music, Flat White Records and his own imprint City Fly Records which has gained support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Mr Scruff, Jimpster and Derek Carter to name afew. His last release 'Jus Move' featuring Javonntte with Marcellus Pittman & SoulPhiction (RIP) Remixes was featured in Juno Records Top 10 'Best Deep House Records’ of the year and was ‘Release Of The Day’ on Resident Advisor.

Recently, Jonna has been concentrating on his music promo service ‘Unveil PR’ and starting a family but is still an avid record collector and selector spanning many genres of the musical spectrum.

As we've now settled in Iceland, it's the perfect time to introduce some key figures who have shaped the local house music scene—and who have played an important role in Intr0beatz’s journey through four-to-the-floor rhythms.
One such figure is Housekell, aka Áskell Harðarson, a cornerstone of Reykjavík’s underground house scene since 2009. Alongside his labelmates at BORG LTD, Housekell was instrumental in bringing Intr0beatz’s music to a wider audience. They featured his music on their show on The Underground Sessions, founded by DJ Caspa, who helped amplify the sound even further. The rest, as they say, is history.
Known for his raw, genre-blending style that fuses old-school house, UK garage, and bass-driven cuts, Housekell has released music on respected labels like Lagaffe Tales and Hustler Trax. As co-founder of BORG LTD, his DJ sets are a deep dive through classic grooves and leftfield gems, always keeping the dancefloor on its toes.

Some of our favorite compadres in the premiere game have to be the lads of SlothBoogie, Danny and Pat. Since their humble beginnings as a music channel, the two have branched out considerably the past few years; getting their hands involved in everything from promotion to running their own record label. In fact, the purpose of today's post is to help them mark an important milestone in SlothBoogie history - the fifth installment of their ever-popular EDITZ series. Like previous releases, Danny and Pat have managed to secure a spectacular cast of talented producers for their compilation. The 4 track EP includes everyone from seasoned veterans like Carlo and Luvless to promising up and comers like Zak Degenhardt of Cassettes For Kids.

Although the originals from those guys sound absolutely phenomenal, the one we chose to premiere today is actually a first for the group who rounds out the record - Bondi Bondi. Based out of Buenos Aires, this trio consists of notable DJs and producers Pabels, Signo, and Way. Much like the music they curate as individuals, the goal of the band seems to be 100% beach vibes with a strong emphasis on bringing classic disco and afro music to the forefront once again.

One of those tracks happens to be a Michael Cooper hit from 1987, which acts as the inspiration for their edit "Dinner 4-2." Taking the ridiculously romantic original, Bondi Bondi have decided to create the ultimate DJ weapon for setting the mood by upping the song's tempo and adding in a dancefloor assortment of bass, oceanfront ambiance, and groovy synth melodies.
