Hanagasumi - hazy curtain of flowers, cherry blossoms appearing from afar like a white mist - this phenomenon can be seen during the sakura blossom in Japan. 

The third release on the label from the musician Shine Grooves. This vinyl is a mini LP of five tracks with different moods. The release is opening with a melodic track with exciting keyboard chords, performed in the best traditions of electro rhythm. On the second track, the mood changes towards a glitch house with a 4x4 beat and a naive melody that penetrates deeply into the mind. The first side of the vinyl is closing with a techno track - a loop recorded on a Roland TR-606 drum machine with an atmospheric melody that flutters in the air throughout the entire composition. 

The second side of the vinyl starts with a 10-minute ambient ode, with cosmic synthesizer sequences and fragments of phrases from telephone conversations - a slow entrance to another reality. The last track on the record has an experimental IDM flavor with melodic guitar tones. 

This LP is made on 12" vinyl, hand stamped, limited to 300 copies. High quality analogue mastering by Sergey Luginin at Luginin Studio.

A Parisian expatriate, it was upon arriving in Dijon in the east of France in 2018 and following a series of fortunate encounters that Had re-fuelled his record collection and slightly revised his musical leanings. 

All stirred up by warm melodies set on cold rhythms, he oscillates from house to tech house, from electro-funk to future jazz and much more... Had is situated in an obscure in-between, half warm, half cold, to offer a meticulous and varied selection that will know how to set you at the ideal temperature.

Junes kicks off a new imprint, Dote, with a full-length exploration of the direct yet dreamlike sound he’s made his own. With his usual flair for crisp grooves and ghostly palettes, A View reveals a broader range of nuanced vibes. Second Wind and Stop, Elate show a playful buoyancy, and a sense of discovery in tracks like Balancing Act and Two-Sided Embrace add a narrative pace to the collection. There’s time for some of the creeping, spaced out atmospheres that hallmark some of Junes’ previous best, but with tracks like Packaging, the realisation of this sound is richer than ever. There’s a restless feel throughout the work, too – especially evident in the closer Spooked – and a feeling that we’ve been on a trip that doesn’t end here.

Molly’s RDV returns this December, rounding out the year with a reissue of material from 1994 by French artist Continental and backed by a remix from Cosmin TRG.
Amrboise Boret is a French engineer, mixer and producer located in Paris who released material under various guises from the nineties through to the early 2000’s. Here we see
his Continental moniker brough back into the limelight, highlighting a selection of material from the Pushin' It Up EP on Alliance Records.
Up first is ‘Flying Dub’, as the name would suggest a dub-infused excursion through gliding chord sequences, snaking bass licks and bright string sequences while swinging analogue drums dynamically evolve throughout. ‘Way U Jack’ follows, introducing a more Chicago leaning attitude rhythmically alongside low-pitched vocal murmurs, fluttering dub chords and a bumpy bass line.
Title-track ‘Whispers’ follows on the b-side next, employing ethereal atmospherics, flute like synth melodies, organ bass tones and crunchy, shuffled percussion. Rounding out the EP Cosmin TRG reworks ‘Whispers’, offering a contemporary twist on the original with intricately programmed drums, subtly nuanced introductions of the originals atmospherics, winding low- end pulsations and an overall ornate, dynamic feel.

Freerotation is the vinyl record label wing of the Freerotation Electronic Audio Visual Festival, which is a 'not for profit' organisation and collective of musicians and artists.
The label's purpose is to provide a platform for Freerotation artists to experiment and collaborate, and to give a voice to upcoming and under exposed artists.
