Producers Memo Insua and Damian Uzabiaga breathe new life into classic cut 'State Of Grace', which was originally released as a white label only in 2000 by electronic pioneers Swayzak, the seminal duo from London consisting of James S. Taylor and David Brown. The original production also featured vocalist Kirsty Hawkshaw. Insua and Uzabiaga provide an emotive update to the uplifting original, which saw massive underground support with the vinyl was selling for $400 on discogs. It remained an underground hit for years before Swayzak gave it an official worldwide release in 2005.Insua and Uzabiaga sent their rework to David earlier this year who liked what they did with it and allowed us to offer the new edition to fans for free.
Swayzak will relaunch the 240 Volts label via !K7 / Unearthed in April kicking off with the entire 6 album catalogue available as deluxe digital formats, the first two albums ’Snowboarding In Argentina’ and ‘Himarwari’ available digitally for the very first time. The 'Lost Tapes 1997–2017’ vinyl and digital compilation featuring unreleased versions and exclusives will follow in June alongside a brand new single from Swayzak & Richard Davis.

Starting off this spring season @dunkelheitmusic would like to present its first VA, "Shades Of Reality". The compilation consists of several unique productions that convey the first Volume's title. Each track emits a certain emotion, which evanesces into a shade of a metamorphic reality that projects the moment of now. Vol. 1 will be presented by Swedish new comers, Whirl and several others such as @bongbeck, Sabura, Paul Diep, Dizharmonia, Silar, Renga Weh, 98U, Gasen and Psycho Weazel. The selection of tracks represents Dunkelheit's various sounds and each artists' unique approach to Dunkelheit's philosophy and Identity. Every track on "Shades Of Reality" acquires deep melodies, accompanied by tech driven drums and heavy baselines that will keep you hooked for more celestial tunes.

Mit einem Bein stehen sie im Großstadtdschungel von Berlin, mit dem anderen im Urwald vor den Toren der großen Stadt. Deshalb trifft der Sound von Kollektiv Ost den Nerv der Zeit mit raffinierten Alleinstellungsmerkmalen. Das Duo schafft es auf verblüffende Weise, die Erwartungen der Tanzfläche zu erfüllen und sie dabei immer wieder mit neuen Wendungen im Groove zu überraschen. So auch auf der Interflug EP, wo die beiden uns gleich dreimal hintereinander mit schwitzigem Groove und deliriösen Klangmustern wegfegen. Als Remix-Gast hat mich sich jemand an Bord geholt, der auf Augenhöhe mitspielen kann: Jan Oberländer, der diese ohnehin schon hochprozentige EP noch einen Ticken berauschender macht.

That’s why the sound of Kollektiv Ost hits the nerve of the urban scene with a vibe that is truly independent and unique. The duo lives up to the expectations of the dancefloor, and it does so by taking it through unexpected turns all the time. Their Interflug EP is yet another splendid example for this approach, as Kollektiv Ost hurl us into a vortex of sweaty groove and delirious sound patterns with the dynamics of a catapult. The remix guest plays in the very same league: Jan Oberländer spikes the punch of this intoxicating EP with another dose of deep and driving pressure.

wir releasen ausschließlich musik, die von herzen kommt und das gewisse etwas hat.

ausschlaggebend für die gründung von freesample waren die zunehmende kommerzialisierung von
partys und der nervig quälende einheitsbrei von elektronischer tanzmusik. dazu kommen künstlerkult
und ein publikum, dass für unbehagen sorgt. schimpfen ist zu einfach, lustig aber nicht unser ding,
machen ist besser.

sicherlich gibt es dazu keine patentlösung, doch wir versuchen, mit unseren aktionen gleichgesinnte zu
erreichen und eine community aufzubauen, die einfach nur spass macht und hat.

wir machen musik, wie wir sie selbst gern hören und veranstalten parties, wie wir sie selbst feiern
wollen, die es aber leider viel zu selten gibt. nicht gast sondern teil der community zu sein ist wichtig.
günstige getränke und speisen schaffen von vorn herein gleichberechtigung. keine
oder zumindest sehr niedrige eintrittpreise sind teil unseres konzeptes und es gibt musik die von herzen
kommt. all das, und das ist uns sehr wichtig, geschieht ohne gewinnerzielungsabsicht.

But we're not just stickin' to one special genre, we're looking
for innovative artist with a creative sound and style, who'd like
to coorporate with us. techno, drum'n'bass, dub etc., anyway we
don't mind. we only release music comin' straight from the heart
and having the certain something.



decisive for the founding of freesample was, that we felt parties
growing more and more commercial, in this case effecting the quality of electronic music negatively. in addition artist are somehow hovering above the crowds - celebrating more personality cult and less the party - and the audience makes you uncomfortable in numerous occasions.

but grumbling about these facts is too easy, funny, but not our
style.

actually there's no solution solving all of these problems, but
we're trying to find like-minded people supporting our actions,
to create a community having good mood and fun.

we use to play/produce music, we like to hear and stage parties
we like to celebrate, but which are too rare. important is not
to feel like a guest, but rather to be part of the community.
besides, cheap drinks, food and no (or low) admission charges
give you a feeling of equality and are therefor a firm part of
our concept. All this, an that's pretty important for us, happens
without any intention for benefit.
