With the sudden rise of minimal-tech, or as some call it “nuggets”, Estonias Abdul Raeva can be seen as part of this rising generation. Even though the word “tech-house" can still have a bad clang in some ears (as written in a recent article on Bandcamp), these dudes prove it is the polar opposite.
 
With releases on respected labels like Haws, Tombolo, Be Told Lies, as well as a critically acclaimed EP on the local Echocentric Records; Abdul Raeva have learned how to walk on the thin line between breaksy progressive and minimal. With support from some of the biggest DJs in this sphere, their combination of clubby basslines and more easy-going breakbeat for home listening is nothing short of tipping your hat to. 

With this mix they combine all what has been written above and do it flawlessly. We recommend that you dip this 1h nuggety delight in some hot sauce and garlic mayo.

It’s been around a year since we connected with Asphalt DJ & Gzardin through our mutual friend Jop Woesthuis. Now, 12 months later, we’re pretty amped to welcome these guys into our mix series after just having released their debut EP on Oddysee.
