The 'Serial SpinnerZ' consisted of me (under the alias Demone) and worldclass turntablist dj Irie. This release was part of the project 'La Peinture En Vinyl'. In short: 500 record sleeves were painted by 5 artists at the Fries Museum. Resulting in 500 unique (puzzle) pieces.

ANGRMNGMNT is the title of a heavy (neuriosh) hard step dnb track. The track will be finished, mixed and mastered before feb. 24th. Thats when we (Amusia dnb crew) will present our next venue called 'Amusia: All Out'. This time 'Silvahfonk' will be headlining. Freeskysound and Yoet will do a B2B dj set. Linkerhandje is the first dj to play at this special evening.

But we don't have to be together to celebrate freedom and what makes us feel more free than dancing? Freeskysound artist info:
Active for over 25 years in various genres in the Frisian music scene and beyond with various projects and under various aliases. Co-founder of and producer / dj at the renowned drum and bass collective Mad Sample Squad; pioneers of drum and bass in Friesland, as recorded in the book: 'Rûge Gids van De Friese Popmuziek'.

In addition to being a solo dj and producer, he is also a resident dj with- and co-organizer of the collective 'Amusia DnB' as well as a resident dj and party host at Home Bass at Club Hemingway Leeuwarden. He is also a regular performer at Pollepel Events and Anahata. He recently played 10 mixes at the London / USA i-net radio station 'Soundwave Radio' in their late night show hosted by DJ MGS. His style can be described as cocky and versatile. He merges various drum and bass styles into a musical and extremely danceable story. Freeskysound has been supporting act for some of his heroes such as Black Sun Empire, Roni Size and Silvahfonk.

Freeskysound has played many clubs and festivals. To name a few: Berlin Love (World Peace) Parade 2019, Neushoorn Leeuwarden, De Nul Hengelo, Club 21, Club Hemingway etc. And also at several underground parties like the legendary:

When it comes to FreeSky tracks it's about reaching a raw and distinctive sound.  This is why he does a lot of his own sounddesign. Freeskysound also keeps in mind: dynamics, musicality, edginess, happy accidents and combining traditional instruments with the analog and digital.
He brings you sounds ranging from fast to slow, dark to light, deep and emotional but also slammin' hard.

History of Mad Sample Squad:
Mad Sample Squad was a live drum and bass act from Leeuwarden which existed from 1995 till approx. 2005. Members of the Mad Sample Squad included DamaZe (Rene Rinzema R.I.P.), Nsayn (Dirk vd Bijl), Demone (David Hellinga) and sound technician Addy Tesselaar (R.I.P.). They are pioneers of drum and bass in the northern part of the Netherlands as described in the book ´Rûge Gids Van De Friese Popmuziek´ (Rough Guide Of Frisian Pop Music).  Mc's and turntablists who worked with the group: mc Baldah (Jah Sound Int. ), mc Lil' Kaspr (G-Town Madness), Turntablists Milton and dj Irie.
They played at many clubs and festivals. To name a few: Frozenland Festival '98. Lowlands Festival, Biddinghuizen '99 (as part of Soundrebels dj Team), Oosterpoort (UHNVO) and Simplon Groningen, Planet Rose on Tour (Demone solo) Drachten, Poppodium Romein, Freeze Festival, Schaaf City Theater, Club Rockit, Academie voor Popcultuur, De Plankier Leeuwarden etc.
Besides Mad Sample Squad vinyl and cd releases (Damazing Records) he also had a vinyl release 'Psycho Skank' with the project Serial SpinnerZ (Demone and turntablist dj Irie) also on Damazing Records.
