Kid Travis – Dedication Review

Overview: 
"Jed Wright, aka Kid Travis, is a hip-hop artist/singer/producer from Bensalem, PA. Now you really haven’t heard of this guy unless you follow the small community of GroovieGang, or have stumbled upon his popular cover videos on YouTube. Founder of his own group, he has been making music for years with small handful of mixtapes, a multitude of features, and hand in many projects with fellow artists (Eluzai, No Idols, Just Shad, Matthew Gold, Matt Schuler, etc). 
Now Kid Travis has jumped to different kinds of styles over the years. His influence tend to linger, whether it be Childish Gambino, PartyNextDoor, J. Cole, Chance the Rapper, Jon Bellion, and so on. This can be visible in his production, art, and vocals. Now to give credit where credit is due, Kid Travis does add his own mix of style in his music. His production work in particular has punchy pop feel with an elegant side to it. He likes his works to be grand. Strings, brass, subs, crashes, things that demand attention. His vocals also tend to be on point, with a distinct sound. 
Now with all that being said, the singles leading up to this project did not have me thrilled. The more bizarre part is that the few songs I liked (Sober, Set it Off, 20 Something Thousand) weren’t on the project. While not stunning, I was thrown off. So what did I think when this project dropped?"
