Mace recorded sounds from a bunch of synthesizers, instruments & samplers, and ran them through a stack of pre-amps, tapedecks, recorders and effect-pedals. Expect to hear analog & digital drumsamples, percussion, classic instruments and synthesizers, all copyright free. 
All tracks are recorded, mixed and produced by Kool DJ Mace. All instruments are played by Kool DJ Mace except some drumloops played by the immaculate Dub Vinny. Artwork is done by the amazing Mister Adam.

In celebration of Hip Hop's 50th year, we've teamed up with London based ‘Classic Material’ to present a chronologically themed series of mixtapes celebrating the history of recorded rap music, mixed by Chris Read. This megamix serves as short form companion to our recent 1988 mixtape, this time cramming over 30 classic tracks into a brief four minute run time. Artwork pays homage to iconic late 80s imprint Fresh Records.
